If my racket holding hand hurts on the upper part of below the elbow - that means I am not using my arm correctly - right? So what should I do now - wait and rest until the pain goes away or may I start training carefully and consciously?

I was in a similar situation when I started badminton. I am self taught so i taught myself the wrong form and my joint areas started to hurt. I would rest it and not aggravate it any further till it doesn't hurt, and then spend some serious time fixing muscle memory. I wouldn't want to try when still injured because you're going to accidentally do it the wrong way still for a while, even when being careful. It took me a solid month or so to unlearn and another month to relearn just the basics of swinging correctly. Now that I've gotten a lot better with more or less correct form, nothing ever hurts from swinging, muscles just get sore from overuse some times, but you can feel the difference between sore muscles and actual pain. Just my 2 cents.

@@foxesruler that's part of what took me so long to unlearn and relearn, cause I didn't quite know what I was doing wrong either (it was pretty similar to this video though, i don't remember exactly but it was some kind of pushing instead of using arm rotation) -- if you can get a coach or trainer to go over the basics with you that would be best. for me i had some friends that were really good to give me some pointers, and then i just followed along with a bunch of youtube videos and shadowed some other players to watch what they did. i also started working out the muscles more so they could support the fast movements and not require unnecessary movements from other parts of my arm to support it.

I always rotated it at the end forcibly arm to give that rotation so my arm and elbow hurt actually it is not necessary with the right grip from elbow to wrist that rotation already happens without thinking about it now I don't care what jw fore arm rotation thanks

@@foxesruler that's part of what took me so long to unlearn and relearn, cause I didn't quite know what I was doing wrong either (it was pretty similar to this video though, i don't remember exactly but it was some kind of pushing instead of using arm rotation) -- if you can get a coach or trainer to go over the basics with you that would be best. for me i had some friends that were really good to give me some pointers, and then i just followed along with a bunch of youtube videos and shadowed some other players to watch what they did. i also started working out the muscles more so they could support the fast movements and not require unnecessary movements from other parts of my arm to support it.

I always rotated it at the end forcibly arm to give that rotation so my arm and elbow hurt actually it is not necessary with the right grip from elbow to wrist that rotation already happens without thinking about it now I don't care what jw fore arm rotation thanks
