4 Types of Dropshots from Beginner to Pro

Спорт

It is tempting to hit a Smash when the opponent plays high, but a good Dropshot can be as powerful and is an essential weapon for every ambitious badminton player. There are many different ways you can hit a drop, and beside the "standard drop" where you just slow down the movement I want to show you 3 more options, how you can decieve your opponent and how you can set up or score points from the rear court!

0:00 Introduction
0:24 Basic Drop

4:00 Reverse Slice
5:20 Stop Drop

Additional Info:
There is one thing I missed in the video: you can also play a longline reverse slice from your forehand side. This is in my opinion the most difficult slice (expect some backhand variations) and if you want to see it played to perfection you should check the video with my teammate and professional player from Malaysia Yeoh: • Malaysian Badminton Sk...

@@tobiaswadenka8435 Yes, please. I have gone through all your clear and smash tutorials multiple times. They really helped me. But I am still failing to get a 100 clean shot i.e. with full face of racquet. Since that part of the swing is very fast, can you please give a slow motion of the swing and break it down especially the part from 'bringing the elbow front' till the 'impact to the shuttle'. That will help us to understand how to hit very clean shots.

Is it wrist or the forearm or both which changes the face of the racquet from parallel to perpendicular to the shuttle in the swing. And the same swing to explain how to give directions to the smash (cross court).

@@SEN-Rui yes... it's an expert level drop shot. Any professional player can do it if they see it once and practice for a day. What's hard is to play it efficiently during a match. Lcw didn't really have any relevance. Although your first point (kinda) had some relevance, it was still dumb. Your second statement hadn't at all
