Nice video! You use it about similar as I do on my motocycle. Learned something new that parallel mode even stays in the same position if you turn around your bike. I set the drone to hoover instead of returning to the home point, so in the rare cases that it would lose signal it does not go all the way back to where it took off.. i do update the home Waypoint as well as I ride ac while though. Thanks for the tips

Thanks for the vid Itzik. I have a DR650 & the Mini3. I've used active track a bit with the DR here in Australia. It works ok, but max speed is about 35kmh I find. Still learning though. I will probably update to the Air3 later. BTW I cycled your part of the world about a year ago but did not take the drone. Cheers.

Hi Glad you enjoyed the video ! Air3 is a great drone with better active track abilities BUT its much bigger then the mini 3 so you will need more space to carry it on your bike . Hope in the future to go to Australia and travel around on a bike :-)

I bought a similar protective cover for the remote, but mine has a Sun Shade Hood for DJI Mini 3 Pro RC Controllers from eBay.

I saw this protective cover on ebay but because I usually stand on the bike I think the hood can block my RC screen view. Its great when you are piloting the drone manually

by now they should have some thing in the drone that locks onto your phone its so easy to get lost by the dji tracker if it tracked ur phone or the controller it would be much more stable

Hi I am not aware of a feature like this in the new mini 4 pro or other new DJI drones . The connection is from the remote controller to the phone and there is only the help of home point return in case it get lost . The fact that we as customers lose our drones is great for DJI , more sales, so I don't think they will do more features like the one you suggested . I do know about people that glue a gps tracker on the drone so they can find it in case its lost but this is an external solution ...

I was searching around for mini 3 pro guides a month ago and I thought I found everything. Somehow this comes up and it's everything I wanted to lewrn about. Nice to see real life use and accessories. Do you think the drone case fits the mini 3 pro bag?

@Itzik_Arazi Yeah, absolutely. Few videos were on settings, few on "must have" items, few on how to just fly. And yes, please do check. I would like to keep using the case if possible, but at the same time the drone does need more protection.

You can use the drone cover in the bag and also you will have some space for other small accessories in the bag itself BUT the remote control will not get it the bag with it ...

@@kead6636 You can put the drone with its hard case (the one I showed in the video) in the drone original bag and you can fit the remote control without its hard case also in the original drone bag together . Just check that the remote control has a screen protector cover and you are ok

Hi If you want to ride very fast maybe you need someone else to film you 😉 The active track is very good when you are alone and you want to video your rides , it can give you great memories from your rides .

Conclusion: Useless feature.

Hi I don't think the active track is useless, if you know how to use it it can give you great videos . You can check my latest video in the channel (mini 3 drone year summary) and see what I did with it .🙂

@@Itzik_Arazi Don't get me wrong. I'm not against active-track. It's a great feature to get certain shot. But it all takes too long. I don't have time for that on a bike trip.Try use the touchscreen while riding. It's simply impossible. And although the obstacle avoidance works great 99% of the time, it's that 1% that is the problem. So you can't rely on it with your €800 drone. Trust me. If you were to try my Fimi A3 or my funny 135 Euro L109 drone, you would use follow-me 9 times out of 10. It's much more user friendly then all this DJI active-track crap. I launch the drone, use the sticks, press a button, done. Never loses me. DJI makes the best drones. But not for bikers and hikers. They don't understand how things work in real life situations. You are not going to spend half an hour on a 20 second shot. You just forget about it and ride on to your camp site or hotel. So unless I can use Lichi or Maven no DJI drone for me. Without GPS follow-me it's a crippled product.
