I know this is for the A-4 but for the Phantom they get both these and the GBU-15s. I was just curious what the difference between them was besides the GBU-15s having a bigger payload. I just assume the GBUs have better maneuverability and things like that but who knows. You can only take two GBUs but you can take four of these, seems like it would be better having more.

Yeah the GBU-15 was made more for booming points or big clusters of targets, whereas the AGM-62 is made more for targets, in War Thunder at lest.

Hey bandit i need halp… why is it that sometimes when I lock in that sight it wants to lock the ground 20 meters next to the tank … like its not a direct lock.. and sometimes my missile hits not where near where I locked.

It is a glitch with the game I am unsure how to fix it but if you want to make sure the target is locked see it the camera follows it, because even though it shows it off to the side it is still on target.

Can someone help me I'm on console n everytime I go into TV guide mode it won't let me aim it properly and it's stressing me out.

Does the bomb keep tracking when you fire another one while the first is on flight? I'm struggling to use this bomb with my Phantom :( Thanks for the video, subscribed

yes it does, if you are having problems with it try it at higher altitudes with longer range. If you have anything else just ask!

nice guide but in A10 you have to be close enough to drop the walleye SAM SPAA will eat you alive, tried to drop @9-8km away but wont lock

Yeah the GBU-8 is a high altitude bomb while the Walleye is more a long rang bomb.

How do you get the A4 early Prop? I only see the later IAF with the dorsal bump. Thumbs up video 👍525

Should be the view toggle button so on keyboard and mouse it should be v

No I don't have any, also you are no the only one, just about everyone on Xbox has that problem you would have to use keyboard and mouse, sorry man I really wish I could help.

So sometimes if you click the drop bomb button it will just lock the zone that you where looking at but if you set up a bind for lock target and look at the target when you click it you will lock em up.

It could be because your camera goes out of view so maybe try and angle your plane or have more distance rather than altitude separation.

@@Minutemman At first I thought, maybe I'm just flying too low & too fast so after altering between those two for a bit I was finally able to get my altitude & speed where I was comfortable, unfortunately it seems for nott.. So far what I've discovered from other console players is that they too are having trouble with making this tv guided setup work. I've tried binding the right analog stick & multiple other combinations in hope's that something would work, but all I can do is loosely pin the ATP (activate target point) on a target & cross my fingers that I actually get a hit in test mode. I've been looking all over the web in hope's of finding a keybind that will work ( on Xbox ) but to no avail. However tho I was able to fiddle around with a setup for controlling my Bpups without havin conflicting problems, not a very fun task with just a controller lol. So now that I've decided to get with the times & use my keyboard (alongside my controller as well) is there a keybind you could suggest? Because I've run outta options at this point.. Just really want the full benefits from that Tv setup, an it really blows having two very lethal bombs at my disposal but currently unable to fully utilize them with their full potential. Thanks!

@@marshaljones4118 So yeah my friend who plays on Xbox couldn't get it to work eaither but on keyboard and mouse it works fine. The keybind thatch would recommend would be alt+b.

@@Minutemman Hmm.. That's interesting 🤔 A little bit confused tbh. So is that for the toggle gunners key? Or for both the gunner aiming controls ( X & Y )? The ways I've tried here down below always sent my aircraft all over the place without being just a steady camera feed involved GAC(X) joystick axis I used was, Right Stick ↔️ (with/without max & min value, enabled axis & keep value for axis) An visa versa with/without GAC(Y) ↕️. BTW I really do appreciate you taking the time to actually answer questions about this & apologize for dragging this out, I'm just still confused.. Is it even possible to pull this off with only a keyboard & controller using the pointer aim method? If so what would be a step by step instruction for this setup? I know you said the key & mouse method works, but I don't use the mouse with my current set-up. Btw if the current setup I use can be done maybe you could make a video, that would be awesome 👌 lol. Definitely got yourself a subscribe nonetheless for all the help, thanks & srry again!

@@marshaljones4118 Ay man it is all good this is why I make videos anyways, to help people. So from what I am picking up is that you are using keyboard and controller which is an interesting set up to be sure. What I think you could do (if you haven't already) is like assign A on keyboard to activate up, down, left, and right controls for the camera and I would have it be for the left stick. For the locking thing I would do alt+b for locking and b+space for dropping. Did that awnser your question? If not please elaborate on what I am not getting here.

When you have bad angles it will send you back to default position, it could also be because this does not work on controller.

@@Minutemman I don't know what is a bad angle or how I can get a good angle!? In other airplanes I have a ballistic computer and I see a crosshair on the ground. Sorry, I am not an expert. I don't know how to get a good angle. I just following your steps.

@@PhanchaiSiam555 Well ballistic computers are for dumb bombs, this is a smart bomb pretty much it will guide itself to its target. So when you look into the camera you can see the target make sure you have good distance and altitude lock the target and drop.

On console when you move the camera it moves the aircraft how do I stop this?

There is no way to stop it, sadly it does not work with a controller.

@@Minutemman Thanks man! I did find it out meanwhile. But this is really terrible because I can't map a button in my hotas yo go to the view directly. Also the TV view has fixed zoom and finding and locking targets is terrible. And even using sim controls is terrible as the SAS mode for level flight does not work with the A-10 and it just starts climbing. Trimming manually doesn't maintain level flight long enough to be able to lock targets.

i tried using this thing on the oantom, it never locked on any target for no reason, tried going straight at any altitude or on dive for 3 hours and only once it did lock on target

I have this same problem. I’m on PC and everytime I tried to get a lock it says “Radar Lock Required. It worked for the A-4 on Xbox, (Israeli one in a test flight) but won’t work for the F-4E. Kind of annoying, maybe a bug report is necessary

after an hour of struggling with the F4E i came to the conclusion that they dont work when you have teh radar lock air to air missles equipped with the bombs its either messing around with the weapon selection controls or just not taking the semi useless radar missles thanks for the help tho, was starting to tink that i was crazy for not being able to understand such an basic weapon system xD

also clicking the button you assigned for them to drop also works like if they are assigned to G+Space you can click that to lock and drop.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work on console. The bomb camera is totally dysfunctional.

I figured out you can plug a mouse into the Xbox, and it works. But, the aim is stuck in inverted control. I'm not sure if the bomb tracking doesn't work, or if early Walleyes just don't have it.

Cool to hear back at all! Even worse, Gaijin now ruined the A-4E. Even with empty pylons, you year your wings off in a standard turn. Still have full control of the plane with the wingtips gone, but forces a respawn. RIP to one of my favorite planes.

Such useless bombs. Use the standard bombs with CCRP and it does much better, and you get more of them. Or the bullpups.

Well in my opinion they are not very good on the A-4E with it only having two so it would not be practical to destroy a base. However in tank battles they would be nice and in air RB it would be good at destroying ground convoys.

Wrong, don't open your mouth about military stuff if you do not know what you are talking about it is obvious.

@@Minutemman you referred to the agm62 as a GBU12 in the beginning “the bombs with the pointy little things at the end”. The gbu12 is laser guided unlike the agm62 which can be optically and datalink guided.
