How To Use A Polisher - Car Detailing Basics - Chemical Guys - TORQX Dual Action Polisher
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Somebody washed the hood of this brand new Nissan Versa with an abrasive pad, steel wool, or Scotch Brite scrubber, and it ruined the gloss and shine in the spot. The damage is highly visible, but luckily it was only superficial and easily removed through polishing with the TORQX dual action polisher!

Using a brillo pad is way too aggressive for bird droppings...I usually use a hammer

Probably the best tutorial I have ever watched for any purpose. This guy is a great teacher! Thank you for this. It helps that it's a dark colored car too.
I appreciate that the steps were presented in a well spoken and orderly manner. Thank You.

Agreed! Excellent tutorial!
The moment he added the material to the pad it looked like an artist and with a palette of paint. If you consider the tone of his voice, the cadence of his dialogue, and editing style; it felt like a video for Bob Ross Joy of Detailing.

You are an excellent instructor. You know what you are doing/talking about; you explain clearly AND point out what you are doing AND why. You explained each step as you went, and not only what to do right, but why to not do more/less. Thank you!

Thanks. This was a nice, easy to follow guide. I just had a go on my old Honda Accord Type R with very cloudy paintwork and this video gave me the confidence to spin faster and with more pressure that I'd have done otherwise. Got some great results on the patch I tried so can't wait to do more!

Thanks for the video. Really helpful, clear and enough info to get the job done. It's great when people prepare and think about what they will say in a video before pressing record. Cheers.
Thanks for a very clear and beginner-friendly video. I like that you didn’t skip ahead so we could see how long it should take.

Excellent video. I'm looking forward to polishing out my car soon.
Nice intro to using a machine. I did some spot polishing with a cloth years ago, but I've got mineral deposits from a farmer's sprinkler to deal with now. Too much to deal with using a cloth, but was concerned about using a machine on my paint. Off to try it on a test area. Thanks for posting this!
It would be really helpful if you made a play list of your specific videos and it would be nice to at least know your first name. I'm so grateful for your style and presentation. I know chemical guys are 😢different people and i love that but it would be great to follow our people who we learn best from too.
These people from the chemical guys are amazing! Detailed and well laid out videos- all very informative.

Hi Chan, thank you for watching. We're a company that's really passionate about cars, so our mission is to keep them as clean as possible using tools that don't cause harm to your sensitive paintwork. What really drives us is passion, an we know that people really want to do a great job detailing their own vehicles as well. We look at allot of products on the market, and we try to come up with better solutions because we notice many inefficiencies. Mainly we're all about making people's lives easier, I didn't know anything about detailing, but I've watched enough of our videos to take on most jobs, and I was fortunate enough to participate in the SDU training program which opened my eyes to the possibility of detailing vehicles as a viable business. We provide the tools so people can develop the confidence to do the things they thought were not possible.
Really appreciate the thorough, easy-to-follow instructions. Well done.

Hi, thanks for the video. Very nicely done. I am trying to decide between the Porter Cable 7424XP and the TorQX polisher you are using in this video. Can you compare the two? Which one should I go with if I am a novice just starting out with detailing my cars? I haven't seen any feedback on the TorQX other than what Chemical Guys say because they sell it. The PC 7424XP has really good reviews and seems to have been around longer. Just looking for feedback on if one is preferred over the other. Thanks.

Should I draw the lines in my backing plate if I'm using a torq 10fx ?
What do you do for the unflat location where the polisher wouldn't work correctly? Do u do that by hand?
highly appreciate for this video. can you please let me know the color code of the car in this video?
what pad and polish would you guys recommend if I were to 2500-3000 grit my whole car?
Will this process work on a vehicle that got a small nick from a road debris (about less than 1/8" diameter) that has been filled with a touch up paint and sealant, to create a more even look?
The tutorial was exellent.

Does the polish residue need to be removed? I have seen some film left with some polishes. if so what is good to use to remove the film?
How about degreasing after polishing? Would like to see if its really polished or just overlayed

Perfect video guy's..!!!
How often are you supposed to wash your microfiber towels and wash mitts? After every wash? Also what do you do with the wash mitts after a car wash?
I was curious about wether this removes the lacquer clear coat which protects the paint and if so would there be a need to wax the car regularly moving forward. Enjoyed the video very succinct
Cool. Thanks.
Love your guy's knowledge. I call BS! I would have completely put the blame on the individual who caused that kind of damage. My first thought for sure would NOT!! have been chemical guys.

I like to use 3m Finesse It 2 after claying... it's not too agressive, but it will buff out any swirls and 5000grit sanding scratches, and it really brings a dull clear coat to life
I can't seem to get my torqx to rotate like that. I'm working my black truck right now and I['m on the side panels currently. Idk if it is defective or I'm holding it wrong because even when I barely hold it to a flat surface it doesn't wanna rotate. thanks
Nice machine and style

Can we polish car in a cold weather? Or what temperature should we do polishing.
Would you recommend the BLACK+DECKER WP900 6-Inch Random Orbit Waxer/Polisher for first time users?
What is the difference between the white and the orange pad . I want to use p4 then apply blacklight . We which pads should I use?
So would you hand wax over that or is the job finished with that product. When looking at polishers and pads there is always a finer finishing pad. What is used with those pads?
When is this available in the uk?
what happen if you polish too much or too often as the clear coat thin out ?
Great video! Very clearly explained. Thanks
Anything you should do after applying this? Any other product you should put on?
Will it be available in Europe too?
I have a new torqx haven't used it yet. Tons of scratches need to be removed. after that can I use the machine to add glazes and waxes over the factory racing stripes(2013 dodge challenger). I'm sure obviously i wouldn't use a cutting pad over the stripes. But i want to make sure the paint in between the different lines of the stripes and the stripes themselves look good and are protected.

Trevaris Long Use a soft pad with lighter pressure on any raised paint like pinstripes or decals and it should be fine.
