I literally came to utube this evening to find out how long machine compounding would take... clearly a good number of hours to get the whole car done. Every video makes it seem like a 90 min - 2 hour job (which I'm guilty of), and I'm left wondering why I don't see much of a difference 😂

Great video again, thanks! I made the mistake of going for a DA Polisher that cant take a 3" backing plate, so figured I would have to get another, but then seen videros of pros polishing the intricate areas (behind door handles etc) by hand, using a microfibre cloth or cut down had polishing pad. Arm people with the right information and they can do anything. And thats what you do with your videos!

DAS 6 is my first DA polisher of choice (220v here), waaay back in 2010, since porter cable only runs with 110v. I still use it for interior scrubbing with different attachment... great machine.

Used a das 6 pro for the first time the other day. Thanks to this channel I got good results. I think being gentle is a terrible idea, throw on too much compound and see what happens... Just play around, try loads of pads and see for yourself what will work and what won't... Try everything. After a few hours your working one handed and realising what can come out and what would need painting. You can literally buff out your mistakes so enjoy it.

Hi John, having watched a lot of your videos I took the plunge and got a DAS 6 Pro, Koch Chemi H8.02 and their finishing polish with carnuba wax. Took 9 hours today and all I can say is a big thank you for all of your fantastic advice. There were some deep scratches on my 2010 black Golf so had to use P2500 wet and dry on those. The end result is amazing, paintwork is like glass...again many thanks! Neil

I liked this video better than the last on beginners guide to machine polishing. First car I machine polished was a 2014 Jag XF Sportbrake that had been valet washed by the dealer and left copious amounts of scratches from the brush they used. Your write in what you say it’s defo a whole day although I was 2 in my garage was well pleased with the results have a 2018 Sportbrake now and have just started the process on that car I’ll get it back to showroom standards eventually it just takes time lots of time

ive been working on corrting the 140 in the evenings. and like ive been doing a wing tonight and my final inspection pass I find 3 marks. and like seriously I had to just let them go and say thats it.. enough is enough or it starts getting ridiculous.. there are limits. perfection is not real. at least it isnt for me. and my god this paint on this m140 is ridiclous the m135 was good, nice and hard. but the m140 its concrete.

One thing I found is there is a reason why that 'M'.... product is twice the price , bight the bullet and use sparingly. Polished a hilux with canopy and used bugger all product.
