I’ve been procrastinating on a project I’ve set to do months ago and realized yesterday it’s because I’m not comfortable using the circular saw that I just bought 2nd hand So I’ve been avoiding getting on the project. Knowing the parts and components after watching this video, I’m not so uncomfortable anymore:)

Looks like we’re in the same boat. I so appreciate these “how to” guys and gals who show us the best and oftentimes easy ways to fix problems that look so overwhelming - until you see how to properly go about “repairing” our seemingly huge issues in such a great and not so hard way to go about it. Thank you so much.

Thanks for going through the absolute beginner basics like this! I never had the chance to work with or even exist close to power tools growing up. Understanding what part of the tool does what and why you'd use it over another is huge! Currently, the only thing standing between me and a raised garden bed is the ability to cut two boards in half.

I can relate 100%. I've been putting off fixing so many things because I didn't grow up around tools. I was not taught anything, except in shop class with huge machine tools. That knowledge has faded 35 years later.
Great tutorial. Thanks for the video. Every woodshop class should show this!
Im so excited to have ran across this video. Ive recently started crafting with a lot of wood products and have only used a couple of the simpler saws. Ive already had several projects lately that needed cuts using power tools im not too familiar with. So ive been really wanting to learn more, all i can actually, about dif saws, their uses, safety mainly and more when i stumbled across your videos. I just want to say, thank you so much for sharing and taking the time out to make these. As the title says, "for beginners," and thats def me, it has helped me tremendously on how to use n so much more. Im much more confident and comfortable using the saws now that im learning how to properly and safely use them. I can do things myself now instead of having to get the neighbor or friends do it for me. Keep them coming and thanks again. 😁
Thank you so so much!!! I made the mistake of buying one without researching how to use it properly and safely.. then it arrived and I was at a standstill, not knowing what to do next. The instructions were so basic, so this helped me out massively! 🙏🏼👌🏼
Amazing, no fluff or filler. A ton of information packed int he first 2 minutes alone. Thank you!!
This is what tutorials should be like. Awesome vid. Thank you

1:10 just so people know, you adjust the height/cutting depth so your blade doesnt get as hot and stays in better shape for longer. Great video nice and to the point

Renovating a house from top to bottom and this information was exactly what I needed. Thanks!
I inherited a lot of tools, including a scary tablesaw that's so old the mfg can't provide me with a manual. I'm finally getting around to looking for manuals and instructions on safety and proper usage. Unfortunately I didn't inherit a circular saw, so I just purchased one (trying to cut plywood on that tablesaw is an accident waiting to happen!) After watching this video, I've watched a few more of yours. I'm elated to have found you. Your video on cutting plywood is the best explanation I've watched (and I've watched quite a few). Thank you! Your explanations are easy to understand and actually showing what you're explaining is so helpful. I'm feeling more confident about using my circular saw because of your video(s).
