The 8 speed rear derailleur compatibility with 6 speed cassette is good? I'm thinking in do this upgrade too. This model is similar to Shimano Claris or is worse?

Yes its similar level, this derailleur is compatibility with 6 cassette(just use R & L bolts) no problem. More important is compatibility with shifter 😛
