The caliper pistons need to be pushed back into the caliper before installing the new pads to make room for their increased thickness. Opening the brake fluid reservoir will allow the pistons to be pushed back. The fluid level will rise with the piston pressure, watch out for overflow. 😁👍

@@mahdishirzad896well if you have brake pads that are worn out you definitely need to open the cap to let some brake fluid out. Otherwise you're gonna have trouble pushing the pistons all the way back

@@seb9940No need for that at all. The only time you would need to do that is if someone fully filled brake reservoir while the pads were totally worn out, but otherwise thats what the reservoir is for to store excess liquid thats not needed till the pads wear out.

They're not non-exstant. They're organic, they use organic resin as an adhesive. The most gentle type for rotors and the best all-round type, appropriate for wide range of users. However they're not the best in extreme conditions. I recommend organic pads for commuting and touring, and race pads (like EBC HH ExtremePro) for track.

I'm not sure about for motorcycles but my car came with ceramic pads, and I daily and autocross with them. They do occasionally sqeal a bit but other than that I don't see any advantage to a semi metallic or organic.

Sometimes, it is not the brakepads but sometimes the fluid/moisture inside the brakeline. Dot3 and Dot4 fluids absorbs moisture making brakes feel like meh. Try to flush once in a while and brakes feel more grabby. Also try applying silicone grease on the pistons (not on the pads!) after cleaning the caliper with brake cleaner

very important to spread the old pads before taking them out when the new ones go in you may not have enough clearance to get on ur rotor instead of prying on the new pads or the pistons use the worn pads to spread the pistons

Pads really don’t increase braking capability, more so decrease brake fade more then anything. General rule of thumb, upgrade brake fluids first for track, don’t even really need pads for track use unless u track the car all day without letting it cool.

Wait... so yamaha doesn't use track brake pads? Instead a commuter version? If I remember it correctly track type parts are bad at low speeds but with the high speed temp goes up and it gets better from there. Commuter pads works best at low speeds and reduces efficiency at high speeds due to temperature
