Hi, i finally received my 1tb ssd m.2 drive to up grade my hp cw1068 pavilion I also bought a sabrent enclosure to help with the transfer. The sabrent instructions mention to initialize the new drive, pick a letter for drive, and a partition type (mbr or gpt) I have windows 11 on a 128gb ssd in the machine (c drive) that i want to swap out for the 1tb. I would like some help please, what letter should I assign and what kind of partition should I choose? I know you are not a fan 0f cloning drives but id like to try that first rather than a fresh install. Your videos are very good and help a lot of people, I thank you for them, they are great. If you were to recommend a cloning program which would you suggest? I also have 32g of ram on the way so I'll be doing that as well after the swap. What do you think? thanks DOUG

If I upgrade either of my drives, do I need to be concerned about the software aspects of the machine? E.g., if I replace the M.2 SSD boot-up drive, will the machine automatically boot up without any monkeying around with the bios or anything else? Honestly, I'm just now trying to get informed about why this machine has two separate hard-drives in the first place. What would be the advantages of upgrading the M.2 SSD drive? I already understand the advantages of upgrading the mechanical drive...more storage capacity, obviously.
