Yeah even with the alarm activated you can still have time to steal that key cylinder to cause financial harm to the owner to someone that owns that car. I have looked at the key cylinder and you can actually pull it off easily if you wiggle it. You can then use your trusty shirt pocket screw driver to spin the mechanism on the door to open it. Something like that should need to be corrected to avoid vandalism

Better to have that backup approach to starting ones car than not to have it guy. I glad they came up with. Most don't even know about the alternate route to access and start their car without a working fob

Have yHave you ACTUALLY TRIED DRIVING with a dead key fob??? Because if the key fob is the ONLY "KEY" (& it's ACTUALLY, COMPLETELY DEAD), then the vehicle will NOT be drivable.

@@ATLTraveler The battery from the key fob allows a circuit to be connected when the key fob is turned to the correct position. Just cut out the BS and go down to Walmart and buy a new battery.
