I agree, SIVE is an asset to Graffiti Culture. I just started following him in 2019. Sent him a sticker pack (Caddy Art & LOVE) and he sent me a NICE FAT sticker pack back. Always great content with SIVE.

Dude,you make this look so super easy! I know it comes after years of drawing.. Ive have drawn alot of grafitti style fonts in my years, but I always get stuck using the same shadow contours etc.. I dont know if its because i lack imaginagion on what i can do with the lettering or what, but im extremely inspired by your Work! Keep it up!

TRUE DAT Basically, you need to get yourself a good letter in a tag then make it thicker. With time and practice, the lines should become smoother and general look of letters better.

Yes! A lot of beginners want to jump right in, but it's best to start with tag and then translate that too bars which make up a letter

Sofles is advanced and very skillful artist. We're talking about beginners here.

These tips were so helpful. I find I get lost in details. It's like a rabbit hole for me and I get lost by the 3rd letter. Leaving me burnt out and my sketchbook full of half finished pieces lol. Will definitely try these tips next time!

I totally understand, I find its easiest to sometimes just move along and revisit later. Because more often than not other parts of the piece can help you decide what you want to do with another section. So rather than try and perfect something initially, get a strong base down and then use the whole piece to inform some of the more detailed decisions.

I tried to do a graffiti sketches when I was at primary school, I found a pretty easy way to do it just by using a whole lenght pencil lead /2-3 cm/ do a tag with it and then outline it, erase the pencil. :D

I have this problem where my name looks better with a throwie and tag rather than a straight letter or simple piece. But every time I try to do a straight letter or piece it comes out crummy because it doesn't look like the letters connect well. Do you have any good tips on letter flow/connection?

I touched on it quickly with the momentum but you have to learn how to adjust the lines of each letter within their boxes to also complement the letters next to them.

Just practice them in a chill spot without people (abandoned building etc.) until you feel safe doing your throwup. Feeling safe about my throwup (and know I can do it in 1-2 minutes) helped me gain confidence to go to more public places.

Look into some vanishing point tutorials, or drop shadow. both cover the main principals that you can also use with graff
