Thank you! So true! I have been obsessing about this man, but after this video, I just want to go back to being my confident self. It's hard because my last relationship was long and painful and when I went into it I looked great and in shape and came out of it stressed out, overweight, and it has been hard to meet good guys since then. But I used to be so feminine and just let the man be the pursuer, and I want to take care of myself and my well-being and just let men be real men.

I’d never heard the term “hero instinct” before. I’m familiar with the basic concept, but decided to look it up in case I was missing something. I’m so glad that your video was the first one that popped up! It solidified what I already knew in my heart, that my man really is my hero. he’d be able to see right through any silly strategy to make him anything other than what he is. I consider myself a strong woman, but I don’t have to keep my defenses up with him. I can be soft and vulnerable. Hs will always be my hero, and i let him know it every chance I get! 🥰

Ladies, if he wanted to he would. There is no secret, men are actually extremely simple, if your the one you will know it. I will say it takes them alot longer than us to settle down. If you REALLY love a man, & are willing to waste two years that's how long it takes alot of men to get their shit together. Those men that are great and do everything right from day 1 are far and few.

It's basically just being yourself... I'm a type of girl where I thoroughly appreciate when things are done for me and when I notice someone is putting their effort into me, and I appreciate that, however I also like to give and do things because I feel it's fair..and I do out in a lot of effort with my ex's they took that for granted... But I was young and one was immature... But then again maybe I've been more on the masculine side even though I am feminine with my emotions... Doesn't help by mainly my younger years was being around my dad and brother, I'm not sure I'm just being myself, like I'm not trying to be in the "pants" of the relationship, I just also agree with things being equal but with a guy I like at the moment, maybe I just need to step back.... Just play it cool and just try to let things will happen naturally.

You can still do things if you feel you need to be fair and do your part but try doing things that are more feminine and let him do masculine things. Let him know you appreciate things he does and compliment him often if he’s a real man he will do all the things you need when you treat him like a king and boost him up

Mosq0 i totally understand. I used to feel that way myself. Learning how to let go of control in a way that feels strong and grounded feels amazing!! It depends what you want in a relationship. If you want to be the strong, controlled partner in your relationships, that's no problem. You'll find you'll attract men who love having you lead, want you to be the problem solver, they'll want you to listen to their feelings and take action to make things better for them. But If you want a man who'll cherish your feelings and lead the relationship with love and devotion , take pleasure in surprising you and making you happy, then you'll need to learn to receive the gifts he brings... help, stepping up to solve the family problems, provision, protection.

I’d like to add if you let him “wear the pants” and fill that hero role you will notice your relationship take a turn for the better I promise that if you take the feminine role and compliment him often and make it known you appreciate the things he does and be his cheerleader and sidekick he will give you the world and will go out of his way for you if you do those things metaphorically speaking he will fight the battles if you will mend him when it’s over (he will be the soldier if you be the medic) I always think of a relationship as hero and sidekick like Batman and robin and people say they need to be equal and criticize me but Batman wouldn’t be Batman without robin. People think the sidekick is not as important when that’s not true at all the sidekick makes the hero a hero and without the robin batman is just Bruce Wayne. What I’m saying is be the sidekick, (who is as important) let him fight the battles with you right behind him giving him what he needs to fight and win if you do that you have him at your service to do any and everything for you. I promise it will work if you find that your relationship is not what you want. Do these things and watch things change in an instant

I saw your comment- you sound like you know what your talking about -I need help getting my relationship back where it was in beginning when he wanted and made me feel loved. We been together 5 years we were married for 1.5 but he divorced me bc my mom passed and I went in a deep depression and neglected and ignored him but not on purpose but later on he told me he felt that he was the problem and he was a disappointment. We stayed together when I got on my feet and was ready to move out after divorce he asked me to stay so here I am but nothings been same like it was. I tell him all the time I appreciate everything he does. What am I doing wrong that I can’t trigger that hero instinct? Any advice please

Sometimes we also don’t want to be masculine.. but the fact that you have been providing for yourself for a long time , you are your own counselor .. it becomes even hard to tell your man what you’re going through, it feels hard to ask for help. Sometimes also men need to make us feel comfortable around them so that we are open to them

I totally understand darling. I found it agonising to ask for help and sometimes still do. We can fear being let down, again and again. And you're right... an emotionally mature, solid, kind man will want to make you feel safe and comfortable around him. And there are tools that you can practise to help you open up and also communicate what you're going through in a way that the right man can really hear you. I have many paid programs that teach this but there are some free tools in my 5 Keys To Have The Love You Want audio training naomiethompson.com/freeaudiotraining I'd love you to have it.

As a man I agree with this 100% my ex was so masculine with her energy and then would yell and scream at me for not being the “hero” and it’s because she wouldn’t let me all my girlfriends before were very feminine and they were the best years and relationships I have had. They let me be the hero and it made me feel amazing and love them deeply. Tbh I still think about them (2 out of the 4 long relationships I have had) those 2 are the ones I still think about years and years later and I still dream about them and honestly I still love them. The other 2 I hardly ever think about because the relationship was missing things so ladies if you want a man to love you honestly forever be feminine and let him be in charge.

I agree. If a man is lying to you, he’s not creating safety in the relationship and you will feel it on a deep level. It then becomes impossible to soften into trusting him to be a good leader in the relationship. The good news is that by having clear boundaries you can walk away from such relationships.

Yes! There are more feminine 'arty type' men who will feel good about letting a masculine woman lead the relationship. This will only work if you both feel truly fulfilled in those energies

Wow as someone who not only loves strategic thinking, but also uses that to make a living that really spoke to me! :) As thinking back to my last successful dates with men or women I definitely didn’t have any agenda and was just enjoying wearing a skirt and having a fun playful time over drinks. I especially liked how you mentioned same sex as well! :)

How did you do this when your a single Mum with 3 kids though ? It’s so difficult 😣 Every day is a task and a challenge to not become the masculine role clearly not present enough in my kids life and to top it off. The state officials, the external pressures of bringing up your kids, finding work that fits around them. Juggling this and that puts you in masculine energy. I’m fully aware of it and I try to get my feminine back. Men clearly see this energy in me because all they do is look at me, they might smile and that’s it !! Exchange and receiving over. Maybe they think she looks like she’s fine on her own and coping but believe me. This situation was not what I truly wanted but it was necessary for my soul to become single. The government don’t appreciate Mothers. They want you to turn Mothers in to men. Make them productive and valuable in society. Make you leave your kids for someone else to look after them so you can become even more tired, vulnerable, washed out, stressed !! I wonder how it is possible to be walking around in my sensual feminine energy with this stigma on my back ?

Darling Sophia I totally get it! I was also a single mum for many years and had to become fiercely independent. There are so many pressures in life that force us into our masculine energy. And parenting is, by it's very nature, masculine problem solving energy. The key here is to find 'feeling moments ' throughout your day. Imagine your thoughts dropping from your head into your body and just feel what's there. That will be a feminine energy moment right there. One baby step. Hi Nina, I understand. In my experience the strength in a woman's feminine energy is when she's learnt to let go of control and be vulnerable. True vulnerability is a woman's superpower. I had to learn this myself! Most of us are raised to do the opposite.

Like hell. Not gonna blow smoke up anyone's butt. Got to be enough for yourself before you can be enough for anyone else. So please don't be something you r not just to get a man to do what he should be man enough to do in the first place it gets exhausting and it's never ending. It just suggests a fragile ego and sounds too manipulative.

My thoughts exactly. No one talks about the possibility of a man not wanting to be the big tough one. Everyone only talks about getting the man to be more active, and the woman choosing what to do. I wish more sources would let individuals speak for themselves rather than assuming that all men want the exact same thing. Honestly, I'd be offended. I would leave the relationship because of the obvious incompatibility. She thinks I want to be respected for a magical "hero instinct" more than I want love, when the opposite is actually true, all because too many sources try to speak for everyone while putting down on those who don't live up to it. Some of us are fed up with gender rules. Some of us are fed up with mind games. I want a partner, not a damsel in distress. I want a partner, not a subject to rule over. No one speaks up for the men who are not into what a lot of these people say all men are into unless it's to shame them for not being into it and not living up to it. For the woman: whatever you want. For the man: man up, more money, risk your life, lead or else, show off for respect, prefer respect over love or you're unmanly, do more, fix yourself, stop being yourself, follow this instruction book that all men are obligated to follow, x, y, z.

By "use these energies in our lives", it means for the man to ditch all vulnerability and play the stronger one at all times awake or asleep even if it falls out of alignment with what he actually feels within and if he falls out of line with what is expected of him and opens up what is within him even for a moment, then he is less of a man, weak, fragile, w0rthless. Even if it forces him to be inauthentic, he has to live up to the gender or else he doesn't matter. That's basically the summary of it.

It's not that you need to trigger hero instinct to be successful. It's that you need to see things as they are. Hero instinct is just a catch phrase. It doesn't actually mean anything. There is no actual hero instinct.

@@NaomieThompson The problem is that there's no need for anybody to feel like anybody's 'hero' either way. Yes you want to be there for each other emotionally. Which goes both ways. The actualized individual independent of any sort of masculine/feminine constructs is a hero to the planet and the poor. But not trying to feel like any sort of hero due to already feeling integrated in himself/herself.
