It might be a better idea to use an ACV rinse first instead of using the clay mask as a cleansing step, and then deep condition and do the bentonite clay mask after. If you're trying to curl train, the definition from the mask is your friend. And putting in a leave-in is a lot easier if you do it while still in the shower!

You don’t use cold water because it closes the hair follicle. Warm/hot opens them up, which allows for products (moisture) to better penetrate into the hair shafts. The prayer hand method mainly is to help evenly distribute product. But yeah your hands are warm so it does help with product penetration as well.

The methods depends on porosity because my hair is naturally fine frizzy high porosity and is usually always open so warm/cool water is best to reduce loss of moisture this is opposite when you have low porosity

I ran across acv today, picked it up and put it back on the shelf 😩. I used to use clay all the time when I went natural! I stopped over time because I got tired of the extra steps and cleaning the bathroom afterwards lol. But as my hair has gotten longer it just doesn't feel as healthy anymore. Your hair looks great! I've been motivated to start getting my hair back on track

Do you shampoo after using the Okra prepoo to detangle? Or do you just go straight into putting on the clay mask. Also on the second week, did you detangle with the Okra first? Then shampoo before the clay mask?

So I tried this method but i messed it up because used a clarifying shampoo after the clay mask. I did deep condition but once I got to the styling part it was evident that nothing was absorbing. Needless to say, my hair came out dry. And now my hair is itchy and i was just wondering is it safe to do this method so soon after trying it out (I did it on Sunday and I feel like watching my hair today, Tuesday).
