The injury part didn’t age well

Insane seeing the levels between the double A boys to triple A boys to then Bart in terms of how they frame and just how they look receiving pitches. Like everyone always says, "there's levels to this sh*t".

Joey has that on point killer potential...and he's awesome with the barrel. This dude, dare I say, has potential to represent the way Buster Posey did; good vibes to the entire San Francisco Giants. Can't wait to see him paint that strike zone. LET THE PAINTER, PAINT!!

I got the opportunity to work with Alby at a camp at the Texas Baseball Ranch last weekend and I will tell ya'll he is an absolute mastermind when it comes to catching. Super great dude to learn from and be around. 10/10 would be coached by him again :)

Helps with receiving and I'm sure other benefits. Kap recently said in an interview he had all the catchers try it and work on blocking in that stance.

It’s for framing. The way you turn the glove to keep it as close to the zone as possible to get those borderline strikes/balls.

So probably not as that would create an inconvenience if they were to work with no knees on the ground. Personally I use this position with no runners on and there’s no need for padding as the bend of your knee causes strain in that muscle on the front of your thigh which makes it hardly painful. It feels like getting hit with a ball half the speed as it does hit you at so I highly doubt they’ll change it.
