The package I got said to use on towel-dried hair, so I followed that. I now have a beautiful silver cast to my hair. I got Pale Silver /81.

I always do my own hair too but I’m always looking for new ways to educate myself on the topic! I use the Wella T-18. Also I never use the full bottle of toner. I made a video doing my roots but eventually I would love to balayage my hair instead of doing roots!

I used to do all over bleach but realized how easy it was to maintain my Balyage!! You should definitely try it!

Binge watching all your vids ! Love hair coloring and less damage as POSSIABLE!! I'm A DIY QUEEN and need to put down a base, lift some highlights and retone and lift some of my lightened ends. I did a foilayage, and its grown out now 2mths but I want to use as lil bleach as POSSIABLE. I can only afford the ion booster ( oloplex dupe) and the blondor bleach with 20 vol devolper looking to how I can do my base, do a few BABYLIGHTS, and then a root tap to soften .. then i will be doing one protein treatment and then just moisturize moisturize..... trying to keep as much hair as i can!! Lol thanxs for vids would LOVE A NEW UPDATED HAIR COLOR ROUTINE !!! What is your natrual color ?? Subbed and watching ALL hair vids now lol

Hi Beauty by Sheila Lynn I just wanted to say thank you for your hair tutorials! You are so beautiful and your is so frikin shiny and amazingly gorgeous!! What do you use for products to keep it in good shape? Also, I’ve tried many different Demi’s and toners from Sally’s and I must say the Wella tonersarw pretty but I noticed if I only use 10 vol dev with wellas t18 & t14 (1/2 of each color) it’s better on my hair. Meaning it doesn’t lift and make me have hot roots and the 10 vol dev isn’t as damaging to my hairs. Plus I don’t like the permanence of 20 vol when using with any toners. It always makes my hair seem more damaged then the actual bleach! Lol. But thx again! You’re hair came out really pretty! 💕🦋🤩🌸🥰

Hi Alli! Thank you so much for the kind words! The processing solution I used is like a 5 volume developer so that’s why it doesn’t damage my hair and it stays so nice! I also love L’Oréal Everpure shampoo and conditioner. It’s my favorite and I know it helps keep my hair healthy and shiny! Thank you so much for watching and commenting! I hope you subscribed if you haven’t already! Xoxo Sheila

Just did highlights at home and have orange tones, will this technique remove those unwanted colors and make my hair lighter??

Great tutorial. What if your roots are light grey and darker grey in the back? Do you dye or bleach them first? And then put in the toner?

I'm dealing with this now as my highlights have grown out, I think I'm going to do a BASE (demi ) color, then some BABYLIGHTS heavier in front, then a all over 10V demi and if needed I will do a root tap. With a demi Ash /A .. maybye a 4A but if I can bump my base then I can use a 7 root tap we will see !! I'm gonna record it all a d hopefully start UPLOADING on my channel too !!

if you don't have a mixing bowl, whats around the measurements used for those? or should I just eyeball?

  • @BeautybySheilaLynn

You can eyeball but you can also use the tubes or bottles of dye to measure too. The tube has measurements and just eyeball the developer. Xoxo Sheila

You can use ANY cup or cap ( just NOT metal, use plastic or glass ) to put a one to 2 ratio in. I cant read the lines in the bowl anyway.. HTH

A 20 volume won’t do anything more then a 10 or a no lift developer. You might have to go to a darker toner or try to lift your roots a little lighter first

Hi! I use a processing lotion that equals out to a level 5 or 10. You only want to deposit color and not lift. If you need to Lift roots I would go with a level 20
