How to Tie the Celtic Heart Knot by TIAT (A Knotty Valentine)

PFT-V2 Book Link: tinyurl.com/k6zmzjp The Celtic Heart Knot is the woven realization of a design I saw etched into a friend's ring. Stunningly simple, yet at the same time perfectly evocative of a heart, the knot looks amazing as a center piece to a necklace or bracelet. Its also the knot I plan to use for the creation of an I love knots sticker thatll be available in early 2010.

I don't understand why people are getting frustrated. It's simple in design! It's actually an advance knot. It took me two days to figure it out, but i got it down to decorate my boyfriend's gift, who is is a sailor and loves rope knots. Don't give up!

Those who are struggling, it is probably because you can't really just tug the ends to tighten it up once you're done. It will tend to tighten in places and go loose in others. You have to kind of tighten by sections to get the right shape. I just did itty bitty ones to tie round homemade candles. Very nice!

This knot really does symbolize love. If you go to fast, it won't come out right and usually end up with nothing/the same thing you started with. If you pull to hard it turns ugly. It takes many tries to get it right, but when you do, you feel very happy with yourself.

Took two tries with a 16" x 3/8" rope to get right. Helps to stop video in places to compare and go slow. At the end you have to stop the video and compare what you have made to the knot on the screen, take your time and study it. A little loosening and tightening are needed to shape the knot and you should have it. If anyone thinks this knot is hard, try fishing knots with 4lb mono.

Very clear .. follow the finger placements exactly. And use thick cord for maximum effect. I used wool first to practise then thick silver cord, the kind used for piping garments and it looks amazing. I finished it off at the top with wire and i also wove tiny crystal beads into it. can u people stop calling him names and complaining about the video? knots r not easy and u have to work to get them right, don't come here and bitch about the video because it is very clear,u can see how he does it, I understand the frustration but don't get mad at the man, just try to improve ur knot skills, or just give up, ur choice

People are just impatient or quick to frustration with a simple mistake even if the project itself looks easy. Practice makes perfect. I’ve worked with slave bracelets so much (and made many mistakes along the way) that I can do them in my sleep.

+stevenmeier16 you gotta start tight if you start with a lose knot it'll be harder to tighten it and make it look pretty
