How to Tie the Celtic Heart Knot by TIAT (A Knotty Valentine)
PFT-V2 Book Link: tinyurl.com/k6zmzjp The Celtic Heart Knot is the woven realization of a design I saw etched into a friend's ring. Stunningly simple, yet at the same time perfectly evocative of a heart, the knot looks amazing as a center piece to a necklace or bracelet. Its also the knot I plan to use for the creation of an I love knots sticker thatll be available in early 2010.

I don't understand why people are getting frustrated. It's simple in design! It's actually an advance knot. It took me two days to figure it out, but i got it down to decorate my boyfriend's gift, who is is a sailor and loves rope knots. Don't give up!
This is just knot possible for me.

I love making this knot. It's so simple and beautiful. Tightening is a pain in the rump, but it's so worth the time it takes to get it right. Thanks so much for sharing!

Thank you, This is awesome, the 1st knot I've tried from your videos since I discovered TIAT a month or so ago. I received my 1st order of paracord today and I'm off and new knotting YAHOO
It took me three times, but I was able to make the heart knot in my daughters hair!! It looks magnificent. Thank you.
this is great! I tied this using decorative braided rope (intended to be trim) and used hot glue to reinforce the knot. I made several absolutely adorable necklaces for myself and friends. Such a great knot!
Love your videos! So wonderfully demonstrated. Years ago I was into macramé. You have once again piqued my interest in knot tying. Thank you for sharing. I am pinning your site to my favorites!
Absolute best description I've found here! Thank you for being helpful!

I just literally did the same thing...
used this knot to shorten my shoelaces (took me a bit to figure out how to lace/anchor it through the loops, but i got it eventually)!! thank you so much for this super comprehensive tutorial, i never realized heart knots were this simple to do :D
thanks so much this tutorial was so helpful!!!! i did this knot with my shoelaces and tied my converse a really cool way using this knot!!!
Those who are struggling, it is probably because you can't really just tug the ends to tighten it up once you're done. It will tend to tighten in places and go loose in others. You have to kind of tighten by sections to get the right shape. I just did itty bitty ones to tie round homemade candles. Very nice!
i made this on mother's day :D best feeling EVAH!
It's so simple! I thought it would be difficult! Thank you! Please include in your commentry about what sort of cord we need and of what length.
Thanks for the instructions I used it on my dinner rolls and they came out amazing! Cheers from Israel!
Please tell me im not the only one who rage quit doing this-

Love how simple the design is, thanks for all the knot love ^_^
So lovely. Thank you for the easy-to-follow demo. Never seen this knot before.
Perfect for Mother’s Day in quarantine!
When you say simple, I did not expect it to be so simple. Thanks.

An added design to my project. really helpful. Thank you.
I have used this video and tied a lent of viking knit into a stunning necklace, on more than one occasion.
This knot really does symbolize love. If you go to fast, it won't come out right and usually end up with nothing/the same thing you started with. If you pull to hard it turns ugly. It takes many tries to get it right, but when you do, you feel very happy with yourself.
i made it with suede cord, it came out perfect...thank you for sharing

oh my...I've tryed six times!! it's not easy at all.! oh my....try again...😘
Took two tries with a 16" x 3/8" rope to get right. Helps to stop video in places to compare and go slow. At the end you have to stop the video and compare what you have made to the knot on the screen, take your time and study it. A little loosening and tightening are needed to shape the knot and you should have it. If anyone thinks this knot is hard, try fishing knots with 4lb mono.

I make silver jewelry with my dad and I am working on tying this knot out of some silver wire. finding a balance of thickness and flexibility is proving to be somewhat of a challenge. I have to heat up the wire and tie it as fast as possible while it remains flexible, but without burning my hands. THanks for the video it helps a lot...

Very clear .. follow the finger placements exactly. And use thick cord for maximum effect. I used wool first to practise then thick silver cord, the kind used for piping garments and it looks amazing. I finished it off at the top with wire and i also wove tiny crystal beads into it. Thanks so much for sharing your skills!
I would like to learn more of this. I'm not sure what to look for when buying cord for knotting. Can you tell me what to buy for someone starting out? Thanks - Mia

People are just impatient or quick to frustration with a simple mistake even if the project itself looks easy. Practice makes perfect. I’ve worked with slave bracelets so much (and made many mistakes along the way) that I can do them in my sleep.
