[Instructional Book] Paracord Fusion Ties Volume 1: amzn.to/2VR8Arl
The Big Celtic Heart Knot is a video instruction in response to calls for a larger Celtic Heart Knot. Just as attractive as the original design (only bigger), the knot makes an excellent centerpiece to a necklace given to someone you love. Video production by J.D. Lenzen of Tying It All Together.

Of all the complicated knots I tried to learn, it's always the heart knot that I can follow without any problems! The triangular celtic knot thing took me forever.

I love how these videos are made, such a high res/def camera and everything within the frame is nicely balanced all throughout. Knots are so cool!!! I'd love to incorporate handmade knots into my life, thanks for all the instructional videos :)

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one with troubles tightening the knot in the way it needs to be tightened. I have no problem making the knot, your tutorials are fabulous! But I also made the prosperity knot and can't tighten that one properly, either. Anything you can help us with?

Question/Suggestion, has anyone done a Celtic heart knot and without a break in the string gone right into a wrist band macrame style with buckle like the standard para wrist bands you see? Seems like that would rock, think I'll give it a try myself just not sure I can as of yet.

I tried and tried and I cannot get it to look like a heart. It almost looks like one LOL. So when you go through the motions when tightening the heart, do you repeat those steps until it gets tight and snug?

  • @Machru

I was thinking the same as you. I don't know if TyingItAllTogether has the time to reply, so here is my suggestion (I have just started this hobby): Make the knot first. When the heart is finished, mark the rope where it starts at the beginning of the heart and at the lowest loop, or where in the heart you want to add an embellishment. Then unravel the knot, start again exactly from the starting mark, and when you get to the point on the rope where you find your second marker, add the bit you want to. Then keep going until heart is finished. What do you think? :-)

+Machru sounds like a good idea I was thinking I could you use two different colored paracord and put them together to make one so it kinda looks like veins going in and out of it

No. All strings of this thickness (about the same as shoelaces) work, but shoelaces are made with a magic dust that causes them to disintegrate as soon as they are tied into this knot.
