How To Tie a Double Jig Rig (Crappie Fishing)

Спорт

A quick “how to” on my double jig rig, I use under a float while crappie fishing. This is simply the way I do things. So, if you have a different way that works for you, great. However, some folks may have never used a double jig rig while bank fishing for crappie! Hope y’all benefit from the information! I wish each of you continued success!
See ya on the next one!

    Thank you for making this video, I’ve recently started teaching my husband to fish for the first time and wanted to learn more techniques especially to better aim what species I catch for bringing home for dinner. I’ve never used jigs or soft plastics to any success before and I want so desperately to learn now that we’ve escaped inner city life.

    My pleasure, Ken! Thanks for watching! I typically only use braid for catfishing. But, recently dialed in the uni knot. You heard of it? It’s a line to line knot for attaching mono to braid. It might be just the ticket.

  • @keithandrews4073

    If you're gonna use braid, it would be better to tie the double jig rig on mono. If you're gonna be using 6-8# braid, tie it with 10# mono and attach it to the braid with a uni to uni knot. It will work tied directly to braid, but it works wonders to have it tied to mono

    Braid will slip to eye first hook set. Plus can break easier at the knot with braid. Also when using mono if you wet the knot before cinching the knot it will slide easier. Also without wetting the line can burn the mono and make it weaker. Just my opinion.

  • @jigginwithjake2796

    @jigginwithjake2796

    4 жыл бұрын

    I only use braid for catfish. The Uni knot would be a good solution if using braid while crappie fishing. Attaching mono to the braid solves the slip issue. This was an impromptu video. Mark is correct! Wet your knots folks! Last thing you want is knot failure! Thanks, Mark! If you’re not subscribed, please do!
