How to throw a cast net and catch your own shiners!

Спорт

I first show how to chum a Hydrilla area for golden shiners with hog food. Then I explain how I prepare the net for the cast. I then explain the exact way I load the net on my body! "Volla" a perfect throw and a bunch shiners! In just an hour or so I've caught 12 dozen shiners worth $288.00 and I'm ready for some big bass with fresher , livelier bait and more bait than probably anyone else around!

Roland, I am 72 years old and I have an 8’ cast net that I use along the North Carolina coast and I am amazed at how well you throw your 10’er after those perfect size shiners. Keep casting my friend, you are an inspiration indeed. I loved watching you and Johnny Morris and all the Legends at Table Rock for the US OPEN AMATEUR TOURNAMENT 🎣🤩✊😎

I followed Roland Martain fishing shows growing up on TV and got a chance to meet him many years ago when they came up to Highland Park in Deland, FL and shot that show out on the backwaters of lake woodruff. I can honestly tell you his knowledge is priceless and continues to fish like a beast in Florida. His passion is what makes him who he is and what he"s all about...

Norfolk, VA here. I’ve always used dog food for catching gudgons for saltwater, but damn I have to say that hog feed is probably the most genius idea I’ve ever seen. Roland, you’ve taught me all my life when it comes to fishing and you’re STILL teaching me stuff. You sir, are a legend. I’d love to spend a day on the water with you and just pick your brain while we fish.

If Rolland can cast out a 10 footer, you should have no problem with a 16'. Bigger the better, they almost cast themselves. Careful of that shoulder, I know its in your DNA catching shiners.

@Central Texas Bassin Are those shiners or are they fathead minnows? I used to live in Canyon Lake area and bait shops around that lake sold fatheads. Many people called them shiners but they weren’t. Those golden shiners in Florida are like gold apparently, though. I’d be catching my own bait too if I lived there and used live bait.

I don't know lol I get um at the bait shop. We have small med large and extra large. I only use them when crappie fishing tho. I really like fishing artificial baits for bass something about catching one with a lute gives me more excitement lol.

@@kevinhenderson7980 I'm not sure I only use them for crappie fishing in the spring. Everyone calls them minnows or shinners lol . But most people in Texas also call a blue gill a perch lol

Your not saving any money you still charge your clients full price for the shiners. You just took the money out of someone else’s hands. All these years of fishing and making millions and you have to be that greedy and take money from other people. Shows you what kind of person he is.

What you showed me is you have a hard time adding 15+26, I guess that's why at 81 years old your out catching shiners and guiding, and I guess you would rather spend time in front of a camera instead of with your family.
