How To Thrift Shop for Lolita Fashion
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Hi there everyone!
I have finally uploaded the video I know many of you were interested in me making :) I enjoyed creating this and I really hope it was helpful for you in some way. I am a budget lolita so I love to find great deals and be resourceful when it comes to my closet.
A disclaimer that the filming for this video took place many months ago, but the editing took some time.
I also want to apologize for the mic not being completely stable; I try my best with the equipment I got!
Anyways, I hope you enjoy and let me know what coord you liked the best or what kind of styles you like to wear !
I tried to do a range of different jfashions in this video with a focus on lolita but mentioning ouji, old school, larme, and casual pieces.
All illustrations done by me.
Thanks for the support:)
More lolita content to come!

I love the setup of this video and the illustrations you made/used for it. It's a really unique style. You can really find some hidden gems with thrifting!

Thank you so much! I really appreciate that you enjoyed the style I went with. I was trying to figure out the best way to represent coordinating the items I showed without them with me (as I couldn’t purchase all of them). I thought of just doing flat lays (showing photos combined) but felt like it would be a bit too … school presentation? Haha I always zone out 😅 So I dresses up a drawing and it took much longer but was a lot more fun and colorful! Thank you for commenting 💗 I wanted to show off all of the unique things people may skip over that you can get for a really cheap price and work it into alternative fashions :)
that velveteen cardigan / jacket is such a find !! also the coord drawings are so cute

Such nice thrifting finds. Second shop are really good opportunities to reinforce your wardrobe. I love the 5th look, this blouse pattern is so old school classic

Thank you so much! ^^ It means a lot to me
ive been thrifting a lot lately this latter part of the year. I've found a high neck blouse and some shoes to. Accessories for classic dresses are good to find in thrifting and second hand.

Agreed!! Something a lot of people look over!
I wish thrift stores where I live had any of the stuff you showed lol. They will have very few blouses, and absolutely no vintage ones.
the crew neck sweatshirt would look so cute over a pink or black blouse as well! with the collar peeking out over ☺️
i loved this video! i also love thrift shopping but haven’t found that much stuff to go with lolita yet. all sorts of other cool stuff though!! i hope you would make more of these type of videos

Thank you!! Maybe I will in the future :) I hope you're able to find some things, too!
I got my first petticoat at a thrift store!
i love the shorts in the second coordinate! if i were to delve into J fashion i think those types of clothing pieces used in that specific outfit would be my style. if you have recommendations of where i could find shorts/pants like that for a midsize/plus size person i would love to know! very fun and cute video by the way :D

Thank you so much! I appreciate you commenting ^^ The style shown in that coord is called "ouji" or sometimes referred to as "boystyle" or "prince" fashion which is a sister fashion of lolita. The biggest brands that sell ouji are Alice and the Pirates, Fan Plus Friend, and Black Peace Now. I do not actively wear ouji, so my advice and knowledge of it is a bit limited. However, I know Fan Plus Friend offers a variety of sizes and I think also custom sizing. There are also Taobao shops that usually offer larger sizes. The biggest Ouji youtuber I know of is Lou Graves - so I would recommend checking them out for more info on the style. I hope that is helpful!

I have some old dresses from thrift stores I plan on turning into lolita dresses. It will be fun watching an old garment get a new life.

Purchasing all of them would have been wasteful for me as I don’t wear all of the different sub styles mentioned or know anyone who does, personally. This is why I put them together onto a paper doll model to show how they would be coordinated effectively. Whether I wore them or had a model, the point of how they can fit into a wardrobe and coordinate still comes across which was my main goal! :)
