How to Thread the White Super Lock Model 534 Serger: Threading Guide for White Serger 534 & 534S
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
In this video I'll show you how to thread the White Super Lock Model 534S Serger. It's nearly identical to the White Super Lock Model 534 serger as well, and I'll show the difference in threading between the two machines. I hope this guide will help you not dread threading your serger. I'll show how to thread the lower looper, how to thread the upper looper, and how to thread the serger needles. I'll share my serger threading tips and tricks to make threading the lower looper easier. #craftcoreDIY I'll be posting a tension adjustment tutorial separately in the future and once it's ready I'll put it in the pinned comments. If you're looking for that, please let me know so I know to prioritize that. 💖 Please be sure to watch the video in full for step-by-step serger threading advice.

Thank you! You just saved my serger from the trash can!!! I had failed to properly thread the green and yellow tension...now it works great. Thank you.
Much appreciation for this simple, well-filmed and pleasant tutorial! I scored this serger on a boulevard in a pile of free stuff after someone’s garage sale and it did not have a manual. Now I have it threaded properly and a brand new-to-me serger that works! Thank you!
Thank you so much! I was about to give up and have somebody do this for me, but I just followed along and I’m serging :-)
You are an absolute sewing life saver! Exactly what I needed to get my son's serger up and running. Cannot say thank you enough. Enormous thank you!
If there’s awards for instructional videos you should get gold! Amazing thank you. I have a 3 thread with the teeny hole for the looper thread.
THANK YOU!!! I’ve spent hours trying to thread it properly. You’ve relieved much frustration!
I’m so happy I found this video! It’s so clearly explained and I love your “flossing a tooth” analogy which will help me remember how to put the thread through that loop. I have had the White Superlock 534 since 1987, but haven’t used it for many years and needed a refresher on how to thread the machine. Your video is more engaging than reading through the manual :) If you have time I would love to see the video on adjusting the tension that you were thinking about making.
Thank you so much for the threading of the White 534. I just picked up one recently and your tutorial was great on how to thread this sweet machine.😊

Thank you for showing me how to thread the serger. I have had one for over t]twenty years but have not used it for a long time. I had to put new cuffs on my daughters favourite top and when I tried to rethread with the right thread I SUDDENLY FORGOT how to do it. I have a Janome MyLock 4 thread serger and I have made lots of clothing on it for the whole family. I know there are lots of other things you can do with it and was hoping you might have a series of videos showing what and how we can use them all. than you again.
Amazing! New sub. Thank you! I own this same serger (534) but had NO IDEA there was an "S"? I've only seen a 534D (with diff feed). I always wondered why my lower looper did NOT have that hole that's in the manual (bought manual off eBay). Brilliant - now I know I've been threading it correctly all this time. :)
I love your KZread channel, I learned a lot, and thank you for the Manual I can access to the Singer website. A great help. Good luck and thank you.
Great easy to follow videos - super helpful!
Thank you so much! This video was super helpful and well done. I recently purchased this machine and after taking it apart to oil everything I finally got it to work. Unfortunately, there is a piece and a screw left over after I put it back together and I cannot figure out where it belongs. I was wondering if you would be willing to unscrew the front panel and send me a pick so I can see where this piece belongs?
Sooo very helpful! Thank you
Years ago I had this serger, just bought it back off of E-bay.

Thank you! Can you tell me what kind of needles you use in your White 354? My manual says "Use HA ×1SP, HA x1(130/705H)" and I can't tell if that means I should "SP" (stretch) needles for ALL fabrics with the serger? That seems odd, because not all the fabrics I want to serge are knit. Help?
Great video!!, Can you tell me where to procure the spool caps or the knobs you showed, mine is used and did not come with any accessories
Great video
Thanks!

Thank you so Much for this helpful vid. I just acquired a Super Lock 523w-9 but no manual. I did find a manual online but that’s in Greek to me 😂😂 I was actually able to somewhat thread the machine properly, but not quite. Is there anyway to contact you if I have some questions? Thank u 🙏🏻
Where can I find your video for adjusting the tensions on white superlock 534
Hello, I was so happy to find your video about threading the serger 534, I thank you so much , I am looking your next video ,how to control the tension, please let me know if you have a video posted or will soon, also what else can we do with this machine, thanks again
Are there any differences between 534 d? I am having trouble with thread breaking
I have a Baby Lock 5180, and I've reset all the timing myself but the feed dogs do not seem to be moving material? Thank you for this video, I've had quite the journey learning on all the channels for these older models. I am happy to say I am able to make a chain! Yeah!! Is there a simple fix for the feed dog?? I'm so eager to use this little nugget!
I'm from Algeria and I'm a loyal watcher of your channel ..please answer my question. In which country was this machine made ?
I just found your channel because I have this same overlock. Did you make the other videos you talked about? I browsed your channel and didn't see them.

Hello! No, I didn't end up making it because when I posted it there wasn't too much interest compared to other machines I have in my collection that I have covered. Is there a topic you're most interested in?

There's an option on the gear to turn down the video speed if that helps. 😊
