About IBS Treatment Center
===========================
Dr. Stephen Wangen, co-founder and Medical Director of the IBS Treatment Center, and his staff have successfully helped over 10,000 people resolve irritable bowel syndrome and chronic digestive problems since 2005.
Some patients have had IBS symptoms so severe that they spent a considerable amount of time in the hospital. Others are suffering alone at home and are no less frustrated with the impact that it is having on their lives. The thread that tied them all together was that they had never seen an IBS expert (much different than a gastroenterologist), a doctor whose only mission is to help people solve IBS.
Patients work with us from around the country and the world via our telemedicine services. Get back your life! Work with us via telemedicine. Visit the IBS Specialists at ibstreatmentcenter.com

    Doctor, why don't doctors test us for common parasites at least once a year, as vets test cats and dogs.. which people also live with/sleep with/kiss and clean waste up after? Also.. why don't they test us once every 3-5 years for metal toxicity and arcenic seeing as how the arcenic map indicates way over safe levels (by their own admission and council)? Prevention IS testing. Testing should be done prior to any treatment, which would eliminate over medicating, organ damage and antibiotic resistant microbes? Thanks

    That’s great information and very important to understand! Years ago I had a problem with some persistent symptoms and on occasion acute symptoms. Fortunately for me I finally found a practitioner to work with and that was vital to my successful treatment which included eating NOTHING sweet for over a year, and going back to that even on occasion in some years after that. More recently I had a stool test where 1+ yeast was the only thing that showed up & the lab tested & found two specific things that would treat it - one was a 250mg cap of Grapefruit seed extract - 2 twice daily for several weeks along with one other thing. The stupid thing was my functional med practitioner did not also council me to stop all fruit and sweets. So while I was better, I did not 100% get over it, and still have had a persistent growth (pretty sure!) in a joint or two (one in a finger and one or both knees) which exacerbate/feel bad or stiff when I eat fruit. And of course the need or urge to want to eat sweet(s) or even just fruit - the so called “sweet tooth” - is those pesky yeast begging to be fed; driving us to feed them! I think it’s clear why women seem to have more of a sweet tooth and often more problem with yeast - its related to our estrogen levels which I’ve understood can be a sort of food to yeasts also and perhaps is a reason why the yeast over growth is more persistent in us.

    Do estrogen pills feed candida too?

  • @christinasophia1795

    @christinasophia1795

    7 ай бұрын

    Women often have more trouble getting yeast & fungus back in balance bc of having more estrogen than men which seems to be a factor in feeding it, but the food factor - excess processed carbs (sugary drinks, baked goods with refined flours, excess gluten etc) in the modern diet is more the thing. That said taking synthetic hormones like birth control pills messes with your whole system and liver so if the estrogen pills are synthetic, probably not good. I take bio-identical hormones but the amt of estrogen is WAY lower than what is normal before menopause.

    The cunnilingus remark is horribly stupid. Everyone has Candida species yeast somewhere in their GI-tract. The problem is overgrowth, not presence. Overgrowth is a biome problem, and often indicates a weak/unstable/unbalanced microbiome.

    I was having severe digestive issues one of the things I had on my radar was that it might be Candida and the digestive specialists I was seeing kept telling me to get a colonoscopy and said that candida is totally normal to have in your stool and I told him yeah I understand some but I have an overgrowth and they had no idea what to do about it and looked at me like I had an extra headed because they didn't even want to test for it. All they wanted to do was have me do a sibo test and get a colonoscopy. I did the sibo test but it took so long to send it into the lab because it was across the country that the results were inconclusive not to mention that I didn't do it correctly I guess. I'm like why don't you test for it at your clinic? But I've been doing treatment of candida with herbs for a while and it seems that when I do treat with it I have a better result than if I just stopped so I'm thinking that's probably what it is. Im still having issues but its only when i eat particular foods and im thinking we still need to get rid of some candids

    I found accidental amazing results with oil of oregano. So I had a jaw infection from a root canal tooth that cracked to root from clenching at night. Last summer I was on 5 antibiotics to get the infection down to jaw dealt with. But that gave me thrush. What ended up helping was not the RX thrush medicine nystatin but rather grapeseed oil mixed with oil of oregano. I would swish it orally each night and spit before bed. Again after breakfast in am. Guess what? I accidentally lost 40 lbs! It was over a period of about 5 months. I just wasn’t starving anymore especially for sweets! This week I see a white film on my tongue and it explains the recent sweet craving again. I was not linking the two together until til this video! Time to go back to stinky oregano breath! lol😂 I have struggled with my weight during adulthood in large part thanks to autoimmune medicines including steroids. Never again with steroids. They do not even seem to help me. I had heard decades ago about GSE in water but even a little made my sweet cravings worse. Guess my yeasty bad guys were too strong then.

    Continued- I also would never take their antibiotic prescription, but I just didn’t tell them. Also for the same reason I think hydrogen peroxide has to be damaging to your mouth microbiome when you know you have candida overgrowth in your mouth and gut. Is hydrogen peroxide dangerous also?

    My digestive system is gotten really bad over the last few years. NO amount of talking to my doctor and to GI doctors could convince them to the ANY testing on my guts. Colonoscopy is the only recommendation they have. My asking about testing my BioFlora was dismissed; we do not do that, they say, no need. Finaly, I did Microbial Organic Acid Test in LAB in POLAND (I live in USA); which is a urine test. The test clearly showed CANDIDA in my body. Cost about $100. Now, I know I have it, what is good treatment for it? After 2 bottles of NYSTATIN I see some positive changes, but I know its far from over.

    In theory they all do. But in reality it is different in each patient. Candida can develop resistance to or be sensitive to any type of antifungal, and the doctor has to help you figure that out.

    @@IBSTreatmentCenter Thank you for the response. I have chemical sensitivity that only effect my lungs. Perfume, hair spray, hair detangler, products like this to mention the worst culprits, really trigger pain or irritation in my lungs. But also low level things seem to cause me lung issues. The worst part is that when my lungs are irritated I can't fall asleep, this effect is a nightmare, the lung pain is just an annoyance. I'm also very allergic to dust mites, which also causes me sleeping issues, so I clean as a remedy, which normally works. Lately it has gotten really bad, falling asleep. I have noticed when I stop eating sugar, it gets better. My threshold for irritation has gotten really low lately and diet seems to be a part of it, making it hard to sleep without outside air. I clean my sheets all the time, and my room, etc, but I have been eating a lot of sugar lately. I'm preparing myself to do a candida cleanse, which is why I've watched and commented on your video. I was thinking candida can raise the level of autoimmune issues, leaky gut an all. Though it's bizarre as my lungs are the things that only seems to be effected and getting fresh air is the solution. It's hard to know how to treat this or what is going on exactly, so I have to try stuff.

    @@AstroSquid Thank you for sharing all of that. That definitely gives me something to work with. In my experience, when people have multiple chemical sensitivities like that, the have often maxed out their ability to detox from the things in their environment. So the next question is of course, why is their ability to detox maxed out? There are many possible reasons for this, but Candida can be one of them. Candida can create a great deal of toxic chemicals. These are absorbed by the body and then must be dealt with. There are many other things that can also increase the toxic load in your body. I hope this helps some. We would be happy to work with you on these issues if you need more assistance.

Stinky horrible gas loose stools and constipation. Yesterday I blew up like a balloon eating a chicken tamale something must not be right because I shared half with the dog. Horrible heartburn gas and stinky poops. I also have a vaginal yeast infection that won’t go away with numerous creams and treatments. I’m miserable 😩 80% of the time only time I’m not in pain is if I starve for days even then I’ll have gas with nothing in my stomach. Please help me🩷
