The definition of hipster is weird, they like old stuff, yet they like things "before they are cool". Liking old stuff is liking things after they WERE cool. The two definitions sort of cancel each other out.

What? No. Most feminists today are pretty good at being feminists. They're doing good feminist shit like advocating for both men and women, raising awareness, and being generally really supportive. There are some silly kiddos on Tumblr that seem to think they can add "#feminism" to whatever misandrist or fat acceptance thing they come up with, but they sure as hell aren't accepted by the mainstream movement.

Jesus, no. You're still taking random things that aren't actually a part of feminism and using them as examples. Except the wage gap, which is *sort of* a thing. The problem isn't women getting paid less for the same job, it's companies passing them over for promotions or not hiring in the first place for certain positions. So there is actually a wage gap, but it's not what people like to say it is. Girl gamers? Really? How in the hell are attention-starved teenagers related to feminism? That isn't even a thing. Jesus. And yes, mainstream is the more well known version. But that sure as hell isn't what you're talking about. Just because the part of "feminism" you know happens to be the straw man version doesn't mean that it's actual mainstream feminism. I don't know shit about astronomy, but that doesn't mean that mainstream astronomy actually refers to the stars in the big dipper as "shiny dots 1 through 7." The scientists shirt? Nobody even gives a shit about that anymore. Everyone basically just said it was insanely unprofessional to wear a shirt with naked people on it to a formal press conference and moved on with their lives.
