How To Talk To People - Start A Conversation With Anyone

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

If you want to know how to talk to people, these communication tips and tricks will make it much easier to start a conversation with anyone! Because it’s not enough to know how to skillfully strike up a conversation with someone. You have to be able to keep the person engaged, and you have to avoid bad conversational habits.
While some people are naturals, others could certainly benefit from some help. Hence the reason we put together this video guide on how to talk to anyone, about anything. The following tips will help you navigate conversations with ease. And although not all of these tips will work in every setting, in many cases, they will do the trick.
Just keep in mind, that there are times when it is best to stay silent - regardless how much you want to talk to people. If someone is giving you obvious social cues signaling that they are not interested in talking to you, you should find another way to entertain yourself.
Talking to strangers can be intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be. Prepare yourself with different ways to start a conversation, and you’ll be able to talk to anyone. After a while, you may even forget about how awkward you felt at first!

Someone that is good at talking is actually just good at setting you up to be able to say something meaningful. Avoid stupid small talk and ask a question, then comment on the answer, the idea is that if they know this stuff then they know to ask you something next to have conversation. If they are awkward like you then comment on the awkwardness and it kills the shit that stops most people from talking. Once that awkward "what do they think of me" thought is out in the open, then you can talk freely.

"Dude, like, how's the weather?" "Uh.. It's good." "I beg to differ though." "Um... Why?" "The weather is a symbol for our entrapment. It resembles the chains that binds our free will. Think about it, last night, I lost my penny. But that couldn't be possible had the rain not announced its presence; it made me buy an umbrella which was exactly the time that I lost my penny. So, in many ways more than one, the weather was at fault for the lost of that penny. However, the weather is merely one factor from the sea of infinite factors. Just one variable. These factors influence our actions to its very tiny detail, which nullifies the concept of free will. Our fates are predestined and we are merely acting on a script that we are forced to play. So, is the weather, a reminder that we are merely puppets, really good?"

Hahahhaha That's actually called determinism. I started thinking about it and it only made sense that we are far from free will and that everything that happens is influenced by outer circumstances. And if that's the case why would we be scared at all about what some stranger thinks. Everything we say will soon be forgotten as we will be forgotten when we perish in a short amount of time. Most ordinary people are forgotten after a short while no matter their personality. Still is talking really something meaningful or just a means to communicate and connect in a way? I think both and for introverts it's hard to understand that concept. That people talk for the sake of talking and nothing more. Still I will try my best to talk about small things as not everyone is concerned over the great or they are there just to have a good time not get existential and depressed.

I literally walk there, hood up and silent this video really helped me start talking to other members. And if you’re currently in the situation I was in, i say try your absolute best to have a conversation with different people. It’s scary *i know* so start off with people that are generally quiet they’re lonely they want someone to talk to so your chances of getting “rejected” r slim *you can do it*

Lots of people need to know this skills some are natural and some have to practice that person should do in person. Also on a person tone too on how to talk to people. Introducing yourself is first step. You say your name in the being you can ask how is the person is. Ask for help or directions when you need it. Options is good when asked. Find different topics to talk about. Movies, music, hobbies, books, nature, pets, animals, holidays, family, Humor somethings that ment not to be insulting. that not insulting. It's good to ask questions sometimes as long as its positive. News topic Ask open questions good questions. Not yes or no because that can be boring questions if you go on dates. Pay attention when the person talking and be a good listener Compatmet others. Referring of interest. Share things are good, with confident self esteem, honest Share storirs or event stories Postive, open minded. Express yourself with others. Don't assume things. Know when it's the right time to talk like if your a church, it's not good to talk. If you didn't understand the question ask the person to repeat the questions. Also express yourself or your emotions. Be patient with the person. Eye contact and facial are always good. When people are introduced to different kids its easier depending on the area to. When you spend so many years away from people and you not used to it you, kind of have to get reintroduced to it all over again. Readapting to it. You know like when people to new places it seem strange at first but once you get used to it, it doesn't seem that strange. Like when people have the first day of school its seem strange then it's not so strange.

I am not good at talking, as I never keep an eye on events. If I watched news, I wouldn't be able to remember much of it afterwards.Too much happening I don't think I would have a meaning anyway. Besides, I was bullied at school, so I am an introvert and keep much to myself. I think it is funny to complain about things. I laugh, when people react to my negativity and realize that they can't make me change my mind. I have already forgotten what was said in the video. XD

Another tip is don’t worry too much about people judging you. People are more involved in themselves than we give them credit for. You may think they’ll judge but most of the time, they won’t fully acknowledge you except if you interact with them.

How about..."hey, i think ur in my gym class! 2nd period, with Mr. Gym teacher, right? whats your name? Do u want to come sit with me for lunch? (enthusiastic & friendly tone.... not the charity, I feel sorry for u tone). " when u get her attention, could ask if she could help u with a certain subject that might be more challenging for u. or comment on an incident in gym class or make fun of the teacher, etc etc. Update us if u have any luck!!

Yes. Christine's right. Don't use a sympathic tone. I myself walk alone and eat alone and always hated it when people asked me to sit with them at lunch. The reason being is cause they rubbed off as sympathic. They, I believe, are forcing themselves to talk to me all cause they feel bad, not cause they actually want to be my friend. So I always denied them. Not saying everyone is they same, but it's a could be that needs to be looked for.

This problem is centuries if not thousands of centuries old. Just be confident and be you don't try to rush it ( You can't hurry love you just have to wait, love don't come easy its a game of give and take ) Take your time to smell the roses enjoy the moment some things are non-verbal anyway. Imagine this my wife is Brazilian and I'm from the USA we communicate in the non verbal a lot. I don't have a lot of words in her language to fully express all that I want to say but we still understand each other.

I am a 60 year old man. I am now confident and happy enough to talk to random people out and about. I say what a nice day. What is your dogs name, ect. Some people will chit chat , some do not want to interact. I have noticed most women mention their husband or boyfriend within a sentence or two. I am not trying to pick up every women I talk to, but most women think that I am. That is sad. Can't opposite sexes and different ages of people communicate and have other relations besides sexual.

Is this what my life has come to? I watch videos advising on how to make a conversation with a species I am a part of. I guess everyone who can initiate and maintain went through this journey. Ironically, language was developed to privide a communicative medium for humans but little did I know that in this world the language that I hoped would bring me closer to communication is dragging me backwards. Nonetheless, should conversations be one-sided as this video implies or should both parties exchange ideas to maintain the conversation?
