    I love NAC. Used it since the 80's. Ton of benefits. So studies and clients of mine have had some anhedonia issues. Just have to be mindful. I recommend to take when sick feeling comes on. Liposomal Reduced Glutathione is great as well. Absolutely love all your videos ❤

    NAC took 5 weeks stop my "illness". Had another two months well after that (feb this year) then got Anhedonia on two occasions which shut mind and body down for 24 hours each time. Started taking it 30 to 36 hours apart which worked for a couple of weeks. Then had a massive reaction to it leading to massive inflammation and infection markers on blood tests, 10 days of delirium, lost 11 KG (what muscle I had retained)Symptoms of bronchial infection, but definitely triggered by NAC. Am devastated. Made such a difference to my life. Now am back to feeling terrible all the time. This has gone on for decades. No one knows whats wrong with me. Blood tests come back "normal"- lost my spleen at 21, am 68 in October. Desperate for some wellbeing. Terrified of taking NAC again-got huge supply in fridge as thought I'd found a remedy. . . .

    I started taking NAC in the norning on an empty tummy about 2 weeks ago. The stunning effect has been it has helped my fibromyalgia insomnia, almost immediately. I normally would take my meds, doze lightly, toss and turn, then get up around 2am and take some more meds. Now I sleep through, and can get up earlier because I'm not so groggy. My watch confirmed I had deep sleep for the first time in years. Yesterday, I threw up after taking my morning supplements (has been happening in the last 3 months, sometimes after food, no pattern, need to find out why), and did not retake them. I had such a battle with sleep last night, my sciatica bothered me, I did exercises and rubbed on magnesium gel, got rid of the pain down one leg, then it went down the other, all in all a restless night with having to take more sleep meds again. So that's my anecdotal tale of how NAC has helped me, it's not a benefit that I have seen mentioned anywhere. My fear is that the effect is going to wear off with constant use, perhaps I'll have to start one day on, one day off.

    Wow! I take 2.4 g a day, and have gone as high as 3 g per day. I'm not saying NAC caused it, but I developed a very severe autoimmune condition after taking at 3 g for awhile, and my inflammation levels were about 10x of others with the same disease. I think it was because the high levels of glutathione allowed my immune system to keep going well beyond what would have happened otherwise. So take care.

  • @lonewolf5969

    @lonewolf5969

    Glutathione is a direct supplementation of glutathione, we actually have inherent glutathione in our system. NAC is a precursor of glutathione so technically it helps your body to produce its own glutathione rather than supplementing glutathione itself so long-term taking NAC is better in my opinion plus its antimucolytic which glutathione doesn’t have. Your body needs rest when supplementing glutathione because a potent antioxidant thats actually used for overdoses and overtoxicity.

    It gave me a bad headache too when I took it without food. I'm not sure if that's how you're taking it, but try with food and see if that helps. It also could be because that it was causing my body to detox, which gave me a headache, but I don't think that was it. In addition to headache, I also sweat profusely and feel flushing. This is at 600 mg, and I wouldn't dare go higher. It also makes me urinate a lot, and makes me extremely hyper because I have way too much energy. All of this is blunted when I take with food, but still noticeable. If there is a 300 mg capsule, I think I'll buy that and take that more routinely instead as an experiment. As it is with 600 mg, I usually take for 1-3 days, then need a break. I will add, now that I finished the video, that I have a very healthy lifestyle: I eat healthier than pretty much anyone I know, I exercise, I have lots more energy than most people and feel great. I have however had gut issues in the past. I'm not sure if it would be too simplistic to attribute my symptoms to detoxing too fast (am I filled with a lot of toxins?). My body always processes everything I take extremely quickly, so perhaps there's something to that.

    Me too and I heard that this could be because of “detoxing” and when I continued taking it, it went away

    Eat 2-3 eggs per day. You'll get plenty of NAC.

    There is no NAC in eggs, only Cysteine. They are different forms of Cysteine, they have different chemical structures. NAC is more stable and has a higher bioavailability, and so it is much easier for the body to use, and better. We can make a similar comparison with iron. There are two types, heme and non-heme. They are both iron, but have totally different chemical structures. Heme iron is way more bioavailable, usually between 15-35%, and non heme is about 2-20%, and it basically needs vitamin C to reach that 20%. Non-heme iron has its absorption blocked by calcium, coffee, polyphenols, phytates, and heme iron doesn’t have that issue. Non-heme iron usually causes gastrointestinal issues that lead to constipation, but it is rare with heme-iron. Red meat has heme iron, and no plant has heme iron at all. Both iron, but so different in so many ways, and one is clearly way better than the other. That’s how NAC and Cysteine compare to each other

    @@BiblicalLongevity You're wrong. I have a friend who is a nutritionist. The Cysteine converts into NAC. The NAC you consume...how much of it actually survives the digestion process?
