This is the kind of videos this community needs!!! Lots of people are scared of digging into their motors because they think it's a swiss watch with over 1000 moving parts. 20 thumbs up on this teardown.

I really enjoyed this breakdown of this engine I’ve broken down plenty of engines before like this the one thing that I’m tripping out on is where and what type of crank cases are those. They are beautifully colored crank cases Plus I don’t even know what the heck they’re called?????? I have looked up 80cc intake crankcases But nothing shows I would like to put a water cooled Engine cylinder head on my 2-stroke 80cc, but I need a crank case intake which seems impossible to find. HELLLLLLLLLLp!!!!........

These motors are assembled dry from the factory. You could add a couple drops of premix oil to each bearing and smear a little bit on the cylinder bore. That's what I've always done without knowing any better and I've never had an issue with my own builds.

I know this is a late response to your post, but i have built a few of these motors for some kids that live close by. Try doing some case porting to match the transfer ports on the cylinder. I got one motor doing 47 mph with porting the cases and cylinder, plus an after-market exhaust pipe. I went up 2 sizes on the main jet and dropped the needle ( raised the clip ) on the carb one notch. The motor is reliable, but it is dangerous to ride at that speed because of the lack of brakes. Brakes on bikes are not made to stop a bike doing 47 mph. By the way i am a certified motorcycle and jet ski mechanic with numerous pro championships on motors i have built for racers. Jet Ski motors raced by my brother Tommy (the Bomber) Bonacci has 6 titles on my motors. Jeff "Chicken" Matiasevich (motocross and supercross) has a 125cc championship and a few wins in the 250cc class on the national events. These little bike motors and other motors always have room for improvement. Just be careful doing porting if you are not sure what you are doing because once you remove material you cant put it back.

  • @crazydan9301

Make sure you use a clamp mounting the carb to the frame after the hose, and maybe even clamp it off again between the carb and filter. I've seen a few race vids showing losses just because the carb popped off. It's a simple fix that costs a couple ounces.

I never reuse the piston clips, one time i did and maybe my 3rd time riding it after i did, it wrecked my engine, piston, transfer ports most top end, FUCKED. Now all i can hear are shards of metal clanking in my bottom end.
