I love videos that are straightforward and get right to the point without a lot of embellishment. Most how to videos can be done in under three minutes like this one! 👏👍

I don't really see the point of swimming without my floating swim fins. I have very big dense/heavy legs that make it difficult to stay buoyant without them. I can swim all day and effortlessly with the fins. I do a lot of swimming in swift flowing rivers in Central Florida and I need the fins---they are a great help.
0:56 "your legs must move from the hips down, and not from your knees" you say?

Your power should come from your hips.

@@1houndgal No, but Mohammad is right, the calves are moving significantly more than the thighs, as in the area below the knees is moving a lot more.

NICE
I like the legs and hip...
When I take off the fins, I feel that my legs are flapping in the air and I don't really move forward anymore than before I used them. Can anyone explain to me this effect?
For lap swimming, I find it a better workout using short fins. There is less physical discomfort for one thing. And second your kick is closest to your kick would be not using such a long fin for laps. If you do lap turns while using fins, the shorter fins is better for those. I like using fins because they help me enjoy my swimming, and I stay in the pool longer. I only swim for fitness. A competitive swimmer needs to be able to swim with no fins, so they limit their fin use on swim sets during workouts.
Anyone know how to reduce the hamstring cramps from using flippers?! 😅 Absolute agony. I found cramping decreases after drinking hydralyte, stretching and not over exerting (going from kicking to very strong breast stroke does it bad for me). I have also been told by a fellow swimmer at the pool I am probably over exerting the kick range, should be small kicks. However I don’t know if my kick range is bigger than what is shown in the video. Maybe it’s that i am kicking with my hamstrings too much and not my hips? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Cheers, James
I just got flippers cause I’m going to be swimming at the lake! cause the pools are closed due to covid
What happens if I just a life jacket no float?
I hate the feeling of flippers on my feet I've only worn fins a couple of times in my life and I can swim better without them I'm probably so used to having no fins that my mind rejects them
Please connect me I can translate all your videos into Bengali. I am a professional translator and have been researching on water safety and swimming for the last 3 years. 300 millions of people speak Bangla. And the death rate due to drowning is the highest in Bangladesh and west Bengal of India.
I just found that the fins I ordered is the partner of this video-

This is a terrible tutorial. Why is he slanted down like that and he’s bending his knees.
Not very helpful. You say don’t use your knees yet your model clearly is.

What they meen is to not put to much stress on the knees, the model is mainly moving his thighs to make thrust while the knees are just flowing along
