by far the quickest and best way (imo) to build up muscle and clean technique for swimming. i can almost feel my muscles aching from this workout

like, fighting purely against the resistance and force of the water alone is enough to tire someone out! but add the pressure of keeping your technique and form in check? it’s just a wonderful exercise 🙌

It’s the only stroke I can do somewhat competently. Maybe because it’s symmetrical and pretty easy compared to butterfly.

If u swim competitive then the coaches torture u with butterfly 💀

I’ve always loved the breaststroke. That’s probably my favorite swimming style to do.

Meanwhile I'm watching this thinking it's got to be one of the most, if not the most, unelegant looking stroke there is. I've always thought it looked like a frog, lol. But of course doing and watching are different, and what it looks like doesn't affect how much fun it is.
