There are eight lanes, and they are positioned in lanes based on previous times. Lane 4 is the fastest, then 5, 3, 6, 2, 7, 1, 8. That's why it's always surprising when lane 8 wins, because they were seeded last.

you can only do 1 dolphin kick into a pull, if you do more than one you get disqualified

im 13 and my 200 breastroke time is 3:21.27😂
