Well , i get your point , i'm not against helping poor people but it will be better to find a way so they can be independent , those who are working for low salaries it will be good to pay them more , The only people who should get zakat should be the disable to work children and elders also we can include women , it is an utopian Idea but i'm replying to your comment the best help to help a poor person isnt giving a few dollars to be called he got help , the optimal and pratical way and also merciful way is to get him to walk on his own so he doesn't need other's help If you search the sunnah you will find similar example but that's not the point The point is helping the other so he doesn't need any other help

I agree with Ustadh Nouman.. this is exactly what happened with me.. a few years ago I began listening to his Tafseer explanations and when he would explain the meaning and usages behind certain Arabic words, I really craved to have that kind of knowledge and understanding of the Arabic language to understand the Quran and Islamic studies so beautifully myself.. so that created a yearning in me to study Arabic.. and I’m currently in my journey of learning Arabic alhamdulillah, and it’s very very exciting.. may Allah grant us beneficial knowledge and understanding Aameen.

Wallahi he’s right. Just try this brothers and sisters. Alhamdullellah I started my journey with Tafseer of the holy Quran in the night of Eid, after the day of Arafaah and wallahi I feel like Allahs swt just gave me a rebirth. I spend arounf half an hour a day and that’s THE BEST TIME OF MY DAY and I wish I could do more… Jazakumullahu khairan ustad for making the understanding the words of our Beloved Almighty easy for us…🫂🤍

This remind me of Gates podcast Un confused me on languages. He says There are so many languages but I was taught only one . I feel my English is not good enough to read Quran sharif coz it doest belong to my native languages.I get to know there are people who speaks English but find difficult to read Quran. Now I think learning arabic is the ultimate thing to understand Quran but not motivated enough. May Allah make my path easier/ clear.

The translated meaning of the Qur'an by M.A.S. Abdel Haleem (publisher Oxford Classics) is the best translation especially for those who struggle with reading and understanding. Nouman Ali Khan recommended it saying it was the best one he's read. I brought it and it's so much easier to understand.

SubhanAllah just last week I started this podcast style use of Bayyinah TV! Exactly as ustadh described it. Because for years I stayed away from subscribing to BTV because I didn't have time to sit down and take notes *cz of 2 young babies. Then last week I purchased just the one month subscription and decided to listen in the background while I take care of my kids. I'm almost done with the deeper look of Surah Insan and MAN, it's changing my lifeeeee!!!

I am a revert and had been wanting to study and memorize the Quran had bought books only to find them in Arabic and I agree translation is not enough to keep me motivated, I will go as far as saying feels too cold … where do I start if someone can guide me please … I had been trying to start with the last Juz And managed to memorized only 6 surah including al Faatiha but because of the disconnection most time I forget the meaning of what I am saying and it feels wrong so I want to be able to recite them knowingly and purposely so to guide others and myself when in times of needing a comforting word from Allah (SwT)

You need to read a tafseer. A detailed Tafseer explaining the Quran will be extremely helpful. Look into Maariful Quran or Tafseer by Ibn Khatir. There are many other tafseer too but these 2 are popular. I really like Maariful Quran. Ping me if you need link for it where u can read online. Or the other option is get the - THE CLEAR QURAN for kids. It is a 4 volume books and simple in nature. I got it for my kids but I am using it currently. Simple and easy to understand.
