    @@aldreitzdavebufete4938 I don’t know how you listen to the music you sing to. If you use headphones, it could be because you try to mimic the singer you listen to instead of staying in you own voice. That was my problem for a long time and that held back my progress. If it is yours too, you should look into „bored singing“. Record yourself while singing and if that sounds really good and your family still doesn’t like it then it’s their personal taste in music that makes them not like your singing.

    Hi. I do have some questions. I had seen your other video about head voice. Way before this one. I think it helped me. Maybe a little. Because I think I was maybe doing the exercises wrong. I was practicing the go exercise and the wow exercise, but with a Vocal fryer. My question or for how long should I do those two exercises? I was doing 15 minutes each, but as time went on I wasn’t able to no longer use buckle fryer as easily with the second exercise. It was also hurting me a lot. Don’t know if that’s normal though. Was doing a 3 to 4 times a week, but was considering on doing those exercises daily. Then I ran into this video, and didn’t think about improving my falsetto before my actual ahead boys. So now another question would be is if I should do the exercises on this video first? Then move to those other exercises another time? If so for how long should I do the exercises that were here on this video? Should I jump to the other two exercises at a later time? When I’ve been proven with the exercises that are mentioned here? Or is it fine if I do all of these exercises at the same time? I know it’s a lot of questions, but if you could answer them I would really appreciate it. Also apologies if there is error in my writing. I am visually impaired and use phone dictation to type. Thank you for reading and God bless you.

    One way I'm doing it is by doing an operatic ah or oh sound, but really quiet, and sliding up my range trying to make the sound go up without doing anything with my neck muscles. Gotta really keep connected to your breath doing it though. Very steady and slow exhale. Try and make your voice ride the flow that you start at the bottom by quietening even more if you feel like your voice will stop.

    When you're doing falsetto exercises thsts what I consider to be head voice. I have always though that falsetto was the flutey type voice that was a disconnected register so that there would be a break going into your chest....but I'm not a trained singer so i wouldn't know

  • @oshobaadu6272

    @oshobaadu6272

    Жыл бұрын

    You are right. Anytime your voice sounds breathy as a flute in a disconnected way then that is falsetto. But it will occur immediately after chest right at the voice break or passagio (keep reading, I mention where the falsetto should occur in singing) and it is normal and that is the biggest challenge in general for men. If you switch to singing breathier at this point you may be able to sing easily but it won't be pretty - it will be as if you are singing the same phrase in 2 voices and you don't want that. The key is to "negotiate the passagio". If you manage to navigate this break by slightly lightening your chest voice then that is your "chest mix" voice. From here you go to your head voice but none of this should sound breathier. The biggest challenge is training the chest mix voice to make sure it is strong enough to sing the notes (like B below middle C or C sharp or D4, E4 above middle C - all for men) clearly without sounding like a different voice and light enough to switch into the head register so the chest to head transition is smooth. At the end of the head register (which must be like the A sharp, B sharp or C5) you tend to become breathier which is the proper falsetto that you mentioned. You don't want to go into falsetto anywhere before this. Most songs are set in the chest and chest mix and then some head register. If you strengthen this area then you can sing happily through all of them 😊😄😊!!!

    great video, I've been singing for a while but I still can't switch into falsetto, not even talking about proper head voice, I feel like there's a barrier in my throat that won't let me sing any higher than F4. How do I go around this obstacle? I've had coaches tell me that im just afraid, and to prove them wrong I tried to squeak out the notes with insane amount of force and ended up hurting myself. I just don't understand how to slide easily into falsetto, I have friends that don't even sing, can produce falsetto with ease, and here I am trained for years and not been able to understand what the muscles in my throat should do to release those high notes. Its incredibly frustrating, Im feeling hopeless, because I love to sing so much! thanks!

  • @oshobaadu6272

    @oshobaadu6272

    Жыл бұрын

    When you do ascending crescendos using ah without being loud (that is key otherwise you will start to push, you must lighten the sound) you will feel a switch in the voice. If you continue to sing beyond the switch then that tone is your headvoice/falsetto. It might be breathy (no vocal cord closure) or very thin due to lightening up. F4 is pretty high for chest voice? Or maybe I misunderstood: Are you trying to go from head to falsetto? If I were you and if my chest voice is up there at F4 then I wouldn't worry about head voice or falsetto because I'd be happily belting my way through most songs!!! Just saying 😊😄😊!!!

    Is falsetto just a variation of head voice? Also would you switch between chest voice and head voice depending on the lyrics you sing?

  • @asishkannoju9804

    falsetto is not head voice, falsetto is the way Charlie puth sings the chorus of attention n head voice is how The Weeknd sings (he has a really strong head voice) and yeah we switch between chest n head voices accordingly the way which sounds better

    Oh that was interesting, i'm able to go to my falsetto and my head voice with ease, but i really would love to increase my range in head voice and have an operatic sound. My 2nd issue, is that whenever i attempt to belt in high notes, my voice tend to get brighter thus going into head mixed voice, is that normal? Or should work more on chest voice?

    03:10 , i beg to disagree Sir. But my nephew can hit head voice without even knowing how to do a falsetto. I mean, how's that possible? He can sing well Steelheart She's Gone and belting/using head voice easily without restraining yet i'm stil confused on why he can't do even a simple falsetto. Hope you can give me insights on that. BTW, great video. We're both learning a lot from your videos.

    Did you find this one scientific? If not, check tylor wysong. He has a lil science in his. This guy's advice is gold though. And I feel like you have to get more in touch with your intuition in order to relax and make the right sounds. Not much critical thinking in that

    When I try and do falsetto, my voice is really crackly but not in the way you think. It cracks into a higher note. Like a high pitched dog whistle lmao. It's incredibly airy and almost impossible on an "ah" vowel like what you did here. I thought I had vocal damage for a long time but the doc says I'm all fine so why can't I do falsetto if everybody is supposed to be able to do it. Explain that. I mean I can do it but very briefly and quietly and I can't strengthen it at all.
