Staffy’s have a very high pain threshold. But a very low ‘I am disappointed in you’ threshold. If you want to get the message across, that bad behaviour is not acceptable, a sharp word, followed by a few minutes of ‘ghosting them’ gets the point across. They are the 150% dog, they give their whole heart for everything they do. They run flat out, they chew hard, their carry sticks are 10’ long, and they love with every fibre of their body.

Tuesday the 4th of June 2023 we pick up Mimi, an 8 week old bitch. Our 7th! We like to have mixed pair, so that they have companionship when we can’t be home or with them. We currently have a seven year old boy Binky, & lost our previous girl at six years to cancer. Binky is the Sweetest, most gentle dog I’ve ever met, he goes to work with his Mummy at an aged care facility three days a week right now, but that will paise for a couple of months till she’s big enough to go along. We are very excited to have a new baby, so we e been brushing up on “new puppy” skills… again. Thanks you for your excellent content.

8wo female Amstaff. We named her Kismet. Stars aligned when my brother’s staffy birthed 6 beautiful puppies and we found ourselves in a position to add another pooch to our pack.

I rescued a female amstaff cross with collie her last owner bred her too young with a full amstaff and lost his house. She had eight beautuful pups I helped her raise and I'm keeping the smallest female with her mum

I’ve à Staffie who’s almost 1 year old and although I’ve tried proper education since a puppy she still bites, pinches and rips my clothing wanting constant attention. I do my very best to play and daily walks. Looks like I’ve missed something important in her education. Any extra advice would be very helpful. I love her to bits but want her to stop being spiteful. Thanks for help from anyone.

It seems that she once got what she wanted in this way, and now regularly uses this "method". Young dogs often try to draw you into the game in this way, to get emotions, attention from you. It also means that the dog is already overexcited emotionally, do not feed it with your emotions and actions at such a moment. Perhaps your staffy requires more intellectual workload. Start learning and practicing different tricks daily, nosework is also a very interesting activity and staffy spend a lot of energy there. Physical training and games are very important, but this should not be the only activity. For example, I do agility, obedience, nosework and freestyle with my amstaffs, they love these activities. I wish you find an activity that will be interesting for both of you, you and your staffy.

They are just animals, & I don't like how Pit Bulls are seen as so terrible. My mom's pit bull was the runt of the litter. They tried to drown him! He has never bitten anyone in his life! Probably the most gentle dog iv'e ever met!
