Thanks - loads - for such a WONDERFUL video about a truly great guy! The irascible Nisargadatta would have probably really appreciated it and then said he hated it because it was an object, the very anathema of Self Realization. He was a really heavy hitter and right up there with the greats. Nisargadatta learned from Siddharameshwar about "I Am" and what they both said was 100% accurate. Again, this video is just WONDERFUL; thanks so much! ✨👍🥴✨

Many thanks for taking time and sharing the gist of I am that book and most importantly how to practise it effectively. Only 1 million dive deep into real time practicality. Long live your work !! I am writing this with sincere intention. Can you summarize the exact Maharaj advice as per his book in two minutes or share it as few bullet points? If we don't let our focus outside then where you focus as the mind must have some hold in particular at the initial stage for sure. If we focus on any part of the body, yes it will give some good experience but not sure whether will take it pure awareness. In the I am that book anywhere maharaj describes what he exactly practised as per his Guru advice? Please share it. I wasn't able to locate it. Again just share a few steps about what exactly maharaj himself did and he said he attained staying in the pure awareness state within three years of practice itself? Does anyone know exactly what he did in those three years ? 2) Finally this is the reason Ramana maharishi suggested self enquiry where by asking who am you are not returning but looking neck the source which is pure awareness. What is the difference between these two methods? Again we are nowhere to compare these pure souls and try to understand the exact practise. Many thanks again. After posting this I immediately came across the link below. Just FYI kzread.info/dash/bejne/q55s2JevZKnAkbQ.html

Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj's teachings were based on the philosophy of Advaita Vedanta, which emphasizes non-duality and the oneness of reality. He often advised seekers to focus on the sense of "I am" or the feeling of presence as a means to realize their true nature. While he didn't prescribe specific practices or techniques, some key points from his teachings can be summarized as follows: Focus on the sense of "I am": Maharaj encouraged seekers to pay attention to the sense of beingness or existence that is present in all of us. This sense of "I am" is the primary experience of consciousness. Be aware of awareness itself: The essential practice was to become aware of awareness itself. Instead of getting entangled in the content of thoughts and experiences, observe the pure awareness in which all phenomena arise. Let go of identification with the body-mind: Maharaj taught that we are not the body or the mind, but the formless awareness beyond these temporary manifestations. By disentangling from identification with the body-mind, true self-realization can be attained. Stay in the state of "I am": Prolonged and consistent focus on the feeling of presence leads to a state where one abides in the sense of "I am" without getting attached to thoughts, emotions, or external phenomena. Guru's guidance: Maharaj often stressed the importance of finding a realized teacher or guru who can guide the seeker in their journey towards self-realization. Surrender and detachment: Letting go of attachments and desires can aid in the process of realizing the true nature of oneself as pure awareness. Self-inquiry: Maharaj advocated for self-inquiry, wherein one questions the nature of their own existence and seeks to discover the source of "I am." It's important to note that while Maharaj's teachings offer valuable insights, the spiritual journey is unique to each individual. His realization within three years of practice is specific to his own path and may not be the same for everyone. Spiritual progress can vary widely, and there's no fixed timeline for self-realization. Regarding the specific details of his personal practice, Maharaj didn't provide a comprehensive step-by-step account of what he did during those three years. His teachings emphasize understanding the principles of non-duality and self-inquiry rather than focusing on a prescribed method. Remember, it's crucial to approach any spiritual path with an open mind and find what resonates with your own inner truth and intuition. Seek guidance from wise teachers, study various spiritual texts, and practice self-inquiry with sincerity and dedication. The journey towards self-realization is an ongoing process, and each step is valuable in its own right.
