30cm thick rockwool in every external wall, and the ceiling. Plus triple-glazed air-tight windows throughout the building. A British home was built like this decades ago, doing it to keep the cold out, so to speak. The result was that the only internal heat sources required were human body heat, the heat from the refrigerator and occasional cooking to keep the internal temperature comfortable. No heating system required. In hot climates, the same design will keep the heat out. One small air conditioning unit will cool a large home. Big roof overhangs also provide shade to walls. Problem solved. Worldwide. Sadly people will only implement these changes once energy costs get much higher.

Putting a wet towel around our necks and heads is usually the first line of defence, for all of us. And so are your other suggestions. Air Conditioning has saved countless lives.

We will have to build or retrofit our houses which will contribute to the problem.

I think it is a brief introduction and it shouldn't be skipped. It is worth watching to get an idea of how AC is affecting global warming
