    Outstanding for You !! I learned the same lesson years ago in the construction business. I worked and learned as a sub-contractor for the BIG Builders on how to become a Home Builder myself. I did that. Also, joined the Military Reserve and kept my civilian job. It all worked out and I am now retired w/ a 6 figure yearly retirement income. Home is paid for, all Porsches and BMW's are paid for. You too will do the same !! Congrats and Carry On !! my friend ! BTW, then my bud and I started a used car lot. And used the same thinking learned from past experience and made money again..

    As a car dealer in this current market, this is the worst time to get into the business. Cars are at an all time high because franchise dealers are not getting new inventory in due to chip shortages. Franchise is now buying at wholesale auction we’re used dealers are buying so the vehicles prices are now going for retail and they’re only being purchased to make back end profit ( intersect rates etc…) as well as to fill up there empty lots. Good luck

  • @chandlerbernasconi5705

    @chandlerbernasconi5705

    Жыл бұрын

    This is actually the perfect time to start a vehicle manufacturing business because of the chip shortages. You can recycle old vehicle parts, put them on small lightweight custom frames with small displacement engines that are affordable, and look cool. If you’re willing to learn and work your hands to the bone perfecting everything you need to have a good startup to build off of. The average customer doesn’t want a car, they want the most practical and futuristic looking means of travel they can get whatever it may be. The solution is k cars basically. NO! the real solution is to learn to be good at running any type of business not just a dealership or manufacturer. The biggest reasons I’ve seen startups fail is lack of vision, no direction, combined with high overhead costs everything from basic maintenance to the interior plastic’s quality$$$ and poor design choices that end up costing them everything, they spent too much time n cash on prototypes and retooling instead of slapping it together and worrying about your pet projects later when you can afford them.

  • @robertbailey1838

    @robertbailey1838

    10 ай бұрын

    First, the vehicle limit varies by state. In CA, I think it's 5. Second, I believe that's the limit on how many vehicles you can flip per year without obtaining any kind of license. That also means you have to pay sales tax, which becomes part of your acquisition cost. Beyond that, you either need to obtain a wholesalers license or retailers license depending on which market you want to operate in.

    I just recently decided that I wanted to open my own family business for selling just used Pontiac cars and one of the reasons why I wanted to open a family owned Pontiac dealership is because my mom has had 2 Pontiac Grand Prix cars in her lifetime and they have been very good cars also I love antique engines like the 1957 stove-bolt flathead 6 engine one of my favorite Motorsports is pickup trucks tug o wars because it’s interesting to me I’m actually in the process of adding my furniture and equipment on my Amazon wishlist I would like to see if I could gain access to the rights of Pontiac logo and sell used Pontiac cars I have a vision of my family owned business

    Hey Craig, Im not a CPA, but I suggest you consult with your CPA before offering tax advice, especially advice tied to selling your product. I believe education related expenses can only be deducted if the business is already running before the expense is incurred. According to, it is not qualifying work-related education if it: Is part of a program of study that will qualify you for a NEW trade or business.

    @@shoreangler3383 if you’re starting out small in a strip mall or an industrial park, get the landlord to include parking spaces in your lease. They might send out an inspector, maybe they use Google Earth, or you send them pics of your spot. They will explain everything. You know, if you could find an industrial lot, you could probably use a small travel trailer for the office. Look around tow companies, scrap yards, junk yards, closed plants, closed car lots, closed gas stations, former convenience store, etc. Even a small office bldg with parking as long as the zoning is right. It’s not as hard as you think. You’re going to drive traffic via the internet. You don’t need a high traffic spot to start out. Once you get bigger and have more capital, you can find a better location. Stop thinking conventionally.
