I've been digging all around YT and can't find the first video in the "how to start and run" series. Do you have the direct link handy?

Interesting vid with a lot of good points. I'm trying to look into setting up a rental biz, mostly for SxS, with maybe some quads, etc. on the side. I'm confused on insurance and what all that entails. I rented from a place once and they automatically put on a $20 per day charge for insurance. What companies write those kind of policies and what all does it cover? I was thinking if I totaled or badly damaged the vehicle I would have to pay a $1000 deductible and insurance would kick in. Please explain what you can on what my needs would be in terms of insurance. (I'm trying to find the 1st vid so forgive me if this was already addressed)

There is a company called MBA. They do ATV insurance that covers general liability. This is your protection if a customer gets injured. They also have ATV insurance where the customer would pay $20 and have a deductible of $1000 in case they damage the machine. They are the only company I know that does that. They are very expensive however. I use Prime Insurance for my general liability. I use my own in house ATV insurance. I charge $30 and there is a $1500 deductible. So, the customer pays $30 and if they damage the ATV and do $2500 in damage, they only get charged $1500. I just had one happen 2 weeks ago. They paid the $30 insurance and did $7500 in damage. The guy only paid $1500 out of pocket. Yeah, that stings me pretty bad, but it works out good in the long run. I wouldn't advise giving that extra income to an insurance provider.

We use the Fareharbor reservation system which uses Stripe for credit card processing. You can do pre authorizations in that system
