I've been in the Side by Side tour business for three years. I second every single word this man says in this video. Very well said Sir!

I appreciate your honesty here man. What a brutal business! Forget the equipment damage! People getting damaged that’s insane. That’s some rough stuff to deal with. I couldn’t do that. People just don’t understand these SXS’s can kill you so easily in seconds. Gotta respect the machine. They are a lot fun, but you’ve gotta be smart about it.

Love this little series about how to start! I'm thinking about doing it in Northern BC Canada and this definitely made me think about different experiences within the rental business. love your way of being honest and forthcoming, i think thats the best way to be in business!

Thanks bud. Good luck if you decide to get going in the business. Despite some of the crazy people, I do love what I do. If you love it, go for it.

Damn I appreciate the honesty , and unfortunately doesn't surprise me. Definitely give you credit , I couldn't handle that crap. We ride up here in the rockies in southern Alberta, stumbled across your videos and thought you seemed like a real stand up guy running a bang up operation, I appreciate the tech videos and sharing some of your experiences. Hopefully I get down to Colorado some day , I'll definitely be looking you guys up!

The craziest part is that right now I am more interested in getting into this business. It seems like there are a lot of challenges to go through. Not to mention that I am passionate about off-roading. Do you have any advice if I am planning to start a rental business with guided tours? I would be interested to hear some.

After they got wrecked are you able to fix them and still rent them out ? For example if they got rebuilt titles

Hey! Appreciate all the content on creating and running a powersports rental business. I’ve been looking very heavily into starting one, I used to work at a rental shop and enjoyed it and love the potential. Question for you, what’s the riding season where you’re at? And what percentage of days are your machines rented. I’m planning on starting out with 17 machines and I’m trying to figure out how many days I should plan on renting out each machine, I have my own idea but I’d love to get a better number from you. Thanks!

Peak season is Memorial day weekend to the end of Oct. But I'm sure it's different everywhere. During peak season nearly all of my machines are rented out. I keep a limited fleet (24 machines) so the trails don't get saturated. Over doing it can get you in hot water with other users of the trail, not to mention authorities.

Hey man thanks for the info. What kinda insurance would you recommend to help protect the owner of the atvs. Would it be liability insurance?

Hi, I'm planning on booking a rental with you for my son and I. The can am maverick half day. However I can't decide on which trail. I'm leaning towards Middle Saint Vrain. And sorry about the assholes out there. I'm definitely out to have fun but I'm very respectful of others people stuff. As a farmer my livelihood depends on machinery and equipment so I treat them well. I'd assume it's no problem if I bring my own helmet? Also if I use my pickup as a tow vehicle is there a discount? Thank you

MSV is a great trail. It's very rocky but really fun in my opinion. Doesn't open until late June though

I want to get in that business up here in Canada. I'm going to put regulator on the throttle. The trails here are 50km/h max. So i'll lock it at 35 😂... Less severed hands attempt

Might work. Problem is it won't change the power delivery (initial hit). This is what gets people in trouble drifting and doing donuts. Most tip overs happen at uner 15 MPH.

@@BackboneADV do you believe guided tour or free roaming is the better way ? Here in New-Brunswick, we have over 2000km of ATV trail with stops and camps. It's amazing but can be treacherous if unprepared and unaware.

@@marc-andrebenoit5776 guided would be safer because you can somewhat control people. I've done that before, but you have to watch them closely. You might see someone peel off so they can get stupid doing donuts or whatever. Free roaming is what people want though. So, you have to look at your competition in my opinion. If guiding is the standard in your area, I say go with that. But if free roaming is the standard, it will be hard to compete against that. Although, there is a very small percentage or people who want to be guided.
