How are you advertising the trailers?

When you pay off the trailer you can buy another one, and rent out two trailers. Down the road you could have a full blown rental business.

Try calling the guys at trailer parts superstore. Tell them what you are doing, your weather, etc. They will help you. MAKE SURE they know it is a rental! That way they know it will be abused. Prepurchase some common parts and be sure you have all the same hubs, bearings, tires, etc. if possible. Best of luck to you!

You got me wanting to rent a trailer. I’m surprised that you don’t hang out with your dad more and learn how to work on stuff the same level he knows. I’d do it before it’s too late. I just lost my dad and it sucks bad.

Jack up each wheel and rotate them while pumping in the grease, it pumps clean grease across all the bearings.

That grease wasn’t burned, it was moly, which is grey in color. It’s the proper grease for those bearings.

A tip so you don’t blow a bearing. Jack the trailer up and grease the wheels while you spin them.

You don’t have to pump all that grease out, you just pump grease into those wheel bearings until some grease starts to purge out of the crevice and then your good to go

Just keep in mind don’t just keep pumping grease into each wheel bearing without disassembling and cleaning out the hubs once in a while. Otherwise eventually you’ll blow out the hub seal and start lubricating the brake shoes.

take the wheel of pull the bearings out remove old grease and hand pack them save ya a ton of grease

you need to goto a trailer shop or even Walmart carries greasable caps with ther own zerk fitting on them so not only does it make sure ur frailer axles stayed greased up it also adds to the amount of capacity of grease it holds so it has more on reserve in ther which helps keep the bearings cooler adding to the lifespan of trailer bearings and from other damage that happens when bearings give out under load

Just cause the grease is black doesn’t mean it dirty😂 and giving barings 1 tube EACH is insane! If u don’t want to have to change barings soon then give ur barings each like 5-6 pumps! Ur welcome

jack up the wheel, spin the tire and get at least 5 pumps in until the old grease is pushed out to the front. wipe off and done!

There was an error in your math for the expected income for the year... First month you generated $2k and then you secured a future one month rental for an additional $1k. That would make it $3k for TWO full months, not just one month like you indicated. Based on these numbers alone, your real projected yearly revenue would come out to be between $18k - $24k .... not the $36k like you mentioned Still not bad overall considering the small investment and little work needed.

That's what I was just thinking. Get a car hauler, dump, and enclosed trailer. Get a second of whatever rents the most. Then just grow from there.

Does your trailer have a spare tire? If not, a spare or two, should bring you peace of mind. A renter would likely use a spare or two, but w/o having one, it may end poorly.

@@imbrandon16 give it time. Put money aside and NEVER spend it. That money was earned by the trailer and belongs to the trailer. Once your trailer has been paid off twice over. You can draw some from the bank.

Monthly rental cost is way too low. You could make $3k off that month. I’d only discount like a week or so at $2500. Especially if you only have one trailer. Great deal for that guy though!

if one tea shirt gets you that many entries ,that means the odds of winning are worse then the lottery.you sure talk about money a lot lately, so lets talk money,I make more money off of interest a day then you are making in a month .a skid of quick crete concrete weighs 3500 lbs so I think your calculations on sod are a bit off. most likely 1800 lbs per skid .

Take a moment and learn how to maintain your bearings, you are wasting grease. That tube should last you like 5 years.

Your payment system doesn't make sense to me tbh. 1000$ per month but if 4 people rent it for the week, that is 2000$ so 1000$ just gone and if people rent it every day, that is around 3000$ so that is 2000$ of potential just gone. So is your trailer getting rented for a full month? Sure. And on paper it sounds like a great thing but you are shooting yourself in the foot and punishing yourself for having less people rent it for more time.
