In this video, Caleb Guilliams from Better Wealth exposes how the wealthy elite create generational wealth and how they pass down their wealth to ensure the family wealth keeps growing generation after generation unfeathered by taxes, the government, etc. This is done through a series of complicated family trusts, life insurance policies (what Caleb calls The And Asset), private family foundations, family offices, etc.
Caleb Guilliams from Better Wealth has dedicated his life to learning how the ultra wealthy do things, and bringing down that knowledge down to everyday people like us.
Life insurance:
For the ultra wealthy, life insurance is this insanely powerful tool that they keep under wraps
"Your money safe, it will grow the rest of your life. It will grow tax deferred, you can use your money tax free, it will get passed on tax free. It has a lot of other benefits. And so what the wealthy use it is, they don't use it as a, an investment, they use it as like a safe asset. I call it The And Asset because they're able to get their dollars more than one job. And so they're able to do that while it's protected, while, while it's off the radar screen of, of the IRS because it's not considered income. And that's, that's how a lot of wealthy people use it. And then step number three is usually what they, to, to take the money or to utilize the money."
"You're not withdrawing your money. What a, what a lot of people do cuz that would be in a lot of cases taxable upon gain. They're borrowing against it or using a third party bank to borrow against their assets. And as a result, if you borrow against it, it's not considered income. So a lot of wealthy people like Elon Musk and all these people, they're, they're borrowing against the equity in their businesses insurance. And when you max fund insurance, that's why a bunch of banks do this. Over 3000 banks today have what's called bank own life insurance."

A few things to be noted.. 1. This only works if you have your own LLC, it won't work for a regular W-2 job. 2. The Business Trust needs to be a majority member of a LLC, typically 95%. 3. The different trusts need to be a "Non-Grantor Irrevocable Trusts" otherwise they won't work. 4. All the money needs to be spent from the trust by the end of the year, otherwise they are subject to 40% tax. 5. You need to be very knowledgeable of how to properly operate a Private 501C3, otherwise you can get into big trouble with "Self-Dealing". 6. For the life insurance policies, the Trust needs to be the owner of the policy and beneficiary. 7. The policies have an accelerated cash value rider so the cash value grows much faster. 8. Furthermore with the life insurance policies, you'll only have have access to 60-65% of the cash value for the first 3-4 years. Once the policy is in force for 5-7 years you'll then have access to 100% of the funds. 9. You can't simply put a lump sum into a policy, the policy must pass the 7-pay test. If the policy doesn't meet the 7-pay test, meaning you've made 7 annual payments, then the policy becomes a "Modified Endowment Contract" (MEC) and will be subject to normal taxation. 10. The private 501C3 is what makes this entire structure legal. Because everything done with the Trusts and Insurance Polices is done for the benefit of the "Charitable Foundation" 11. This structure is not cheap to set-up, it will cost a minimum of $15k-$25k to set it up for a basic LLC, and if your business is more involved it can cost $100k to set up. 12. Lastly you'll need a good CPA as 98% of CPA's don't know how to properly handle this structure. Most of the CPA's I've met haven't even heard of the structure before.

You’re party right. About the CPA thing. You don’t hire a cpa for a holding company like this. You go to a private bank that handles wealth management and others. This is through a private bank. And people should avoid taxes, Taxes are not some divine duty, but fee for benefits you acquire. Problem with today society is that it aims to offer you "benefits" you dont need and then it tells you you need pay more taxes so we can afford it. Before WW1 Europe avaerage tax burden was 7,7% some countrys even had 1-2%. Government had 2 dutys protect borders of country and protect social order and there was enought tax money to save up. And then countrys started to decide, we need to steghten our military and war is expensive we need to build more roads couse military needs them for movement. We need to start educate people to be sure they aquire right ideology and mind set and taxes were rised fast. And people had no say for this couse Country captured the institution of money and started to print money and if you had money in bank they had accsess and knowledge of it. And in that moment when country had that power they decide its ours to decide what we tax and how much we tax. But in reality and morally people dont have to pay taxes o things they dont care. How much money USA spends on military how many foreign bases it has, how many billions they give to support they gaenda on other countries. And average taxpayer needs to pay for this on some patriot slogan.

These are very valuable rules for anybody who wants to get rich. Unfortunately, most people who will watch this video will not really be able to apply the principles. We may not want to admit, but as Warren Buffett once said, investing is like any other profession-- it requires a certain level of expertise. No surprise that some people are losing a lot of money in the bear market, while others are making hundreds of thousands in profit. I just don't know how they do it. I have about $89k now to put in the market.

Yeah, financial advisors could make a lot of difference, particularly in a market such as this. Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look. I remember just after my layoff early 2020 amidst covid outbreak, I needed to stay afloat, hence researched for license advisors. Thankfully, I came across someone of practical knowledge, and decades of experience, my stagnant reserve of $325K has yielded nearly $1m after subsequent investments so far.

I didn't hear the most important thing mentioned. You can not borrow against a term policy. It has to be a whole life policy. There is no cash value in a term 10,20 or 30 year policy. If it was mentioned then I apologize. This is a very important piece of info. Most common folk can not afford a whole life policy and therefore can not borrow against the most common term life insurance.

What matters in a Debt based economy - the entire World is based on that - is not the purchasing power or money in the bank but the Borrowing Power. You must be able to borrow more and more and more and defer paying taxes indefinitely using real estate, insurance, trust, etc. Without borrowing you can't build wealth. Simple as that. That is why the Credit Score defines one's worth. Guard it (credit score) at all cost.

I have to say that I'm impressed by how these wealthy families are able to unite, organize and trust each other so much. There is a lot of compromise that goes into managing all this stuff for family. A lot of disagreements and quirks that need to be dealt with to have something like this function correctly.

  • @purpleflows5680

Exactly. This is why I get annoyed when people talk about how untrustworthy rich people are. Most middle class families don’t trust each other enough to even buy a house together. Most are too self-centered to build anything with one another. It takes a lot of long-term thinking and caring about future generations to build something together across generations.

I have attended one of these semi-luxuious family meetings as a guest. They meet so regularly that it almost feels like a job. The family members know each other very well and any distrust and personally issues are dealt with collaboratively. The family members don't necessarily like each other personally but suspicion or grudge holding is a big no no in their circles.

Its due to contracts. Trusts are made by contracts and in the legal sense, “contracts are the law between the parties”. Therefore even if AA own the yacht in paper but another contract says that BB have control over the yacht, then AA the owner cannot throw BB out of the yacht because AA will be liable in Court if AA violated their contract saying that BB have control over they yacht. Contracts keep these rich families in line. Because violation of contracts have huge money penalties. The funny thing is the Court are not paid by the rich families, it is paid by taxpayers money. The rich people gain tremendous benefits from the Courts without the need to pay for it to function well for their own benefit. So rich families simply pay the people in the government in order for them to keep the Courts running well and give them some more benefits.

I'm not surprised that the educational system is privately controlled. In school I learned that Martin Luther King was a genuine folk hero. However I have an imperialist relative who believes in full disclosure. He directed me to review Dr. King's speeches, in which he declared that blacks' love for our oppressors should be primarily impersonal and "spiritual" in nature, as opposed to emotional or erotic. He dictated my intimate disposition like I'm both a slave and a prostitute. And this is an enforceable criterion for civil rights eligibility. In hindsight it is rather naive to believe that in a nation of abject racial oppression by the majority, Dr. King would've gotten to first base unless he were pro-slavery. Kate Middleton I'll rip you a new coochiehole.

We may not want to admit, but as Warren Buffett once said, investing is like any other profession-- it requires a certain level of expertise. No surprise that some people are losing a lot of money in the bear market, while others are making hundreds of thousands in profit. I just don't know how they do it. I've got $150k set aside to put in the market.

Understanding personal finances and investing will most likely lead to greater financial independence. By being knowledgeable about money and investing, individuals can make informed decisions about how to save, spend, and invest their money. I know someone who made over $350k in this recession-influenced market, but to the best of my knowledge, it was through an F.A `

Yeah, financial advisors could make a lot of difference, particularly in a market such as this. Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of investors raking in 6 to 7 digits in a space of months. So, I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look. I have been using an FA since 2020, and the least I returned was $95k ROI, and this does not include capital gain.

Camille appears to be a true authority in this field. I looked her up on the net because I really need this, and found her website, went through her profile and I can say she's superb. Dropped a message hoping it gets replied.

There is some hidden stuff you don't tell. #1 you need to put in a certain amount of cash in the policy first before you can borrow.. You can only borrow a % of what's in there. Or of the policy..

But how do you actually take out and use money from a trust without it getting taxed? Let’s say you want to buy a house, car or pay for college. Or if you want to buy a bunch of stocks or real estate? Is a trust really the best way to avoid inheritance taxes? Great video by the way, keep them coming!

I bought a house a couple years ago by just emailing the trustee of the trust and his law firm did all the work. The house is owned by the trust in my case which gives me some protection. As for college and things like that usually in the will it will say what the money can be used for. Also it usually depends of the discretion of the trustee.

From what I understand, they don’t use money from the trust. They use the money they borrow from their life insurance policy, which was funded by the trust.

Should mention the loss of wealth that happens before inheritance even becomes relevant. The mobility in income from the top quintile of income to the fourth or third is tremendous. It's easier to get to the fifth quintile of income than it is to stay in that quintile.
