You're most welcome From a hard ware store. I have never done this and can't quite recommend but I want to believe it's possible but this largely depends on the size, number of tiers and their positions. Also, you need to drill a hole in the dummy before stacking so that the rod can easily pass through without much pressure on the real cakes.

You're most welcome Funmi! I would have loved to say for hours but then, there are other factors involved. So, if there are no issues of poor storage or mishandling. It can stay for long as long as no force is exerted on it and it is well stacked and balanced. Hope this is good enough?

I has previously measured and cut the plywood and figured out where the middle of that circle would be. That was where I cut through so the central dowel could pass through.

Yes but it depends on quite a number of factors. Caveat The Cake tiers are not too large and more than two. The driver is a careful and meticulous one. The distance isn't so far. Cakes are not moist that they can't withstand the pressure of Nigerian roads. Cakes are dry enough to be dowelled. The position during the trip is a safe one for the Cakes. These are some I can remember for now.
