Oh man having to take the whole exhaust pipe must be a freaking PAIN, i thought it was bad I had to take the belly pan off the Tiger XD The first time I changed the oil on my 1980 Suzuki GS850, I stripped the plug because I tightened it tooo much, we had to drill it out and re-thread it. (Finding a new pan for that bike is not fun let me tell ya so we did our best to make sure I didn't have to buy a new one lol) It happens to everyone I swear.

If you're going through the hassle if changing the pads by removing the caliper, it's a good time to inspect and scrub them. Otherwise, just change the pads without removing the caliper.
