This spring we packed the Thule and Mini for a car camping road trip in Maine. Our first stop was Mount Desert Campground where we set up our Springbar Canvas Tent and made home for a couple nights. We explored the Park Loop Trail, Bar Harbor, Bass Harbor Lighthouse, Seal Cove and more. On the second night there was flash flooding which caused some incredible water falls running from the mountains down to the water.
After the tent somewhat dried we packed up and enjoyed a super twisty and scenic drive to Cobscook Bay State Park. From there our main destination was Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge where we enjoyed a walk through the forest and a driving tour. That night we drove south to Machias and then back up north along the coast up to Lubec where we grabbed dinner at the Fisherman's Wharf.
Not pictured here is our one night recovery stay in a Portland hotel where we washed off the past 4 days of camping in someone else's shower.
