Whenever there is a substantial wick candle, mostly the volumes will be high as on way up, regular volumes will come but on reversal, the buyers will sell away the very same day magnifying the volume. So we get to see a combination of a big wick candle alongwith high volumes.

Been tracking the leaders of bnf in last few weeks. 1. Icicibank- double top pattern playing out. Forgot the author but read about v sahpe and a u shape double top. Icicibank now doing rounded top with trying to come close to a neckline. 2. Sbin- upmoves look weak with divergences playing wrt rsi. 3. Hdfc twins- seem quite feeble, looks like they'll probably move sideways if they do not fall. Last couple of months observation in of FII cash data.........fii buy sell values are quite high in recent months. Earlier buy sell values used to be hardly 4k cr, have seen 8k cr quite many times in recent months. Smells like a sectoral rotation. Linking the dots, I feel bnf will loose strength and some other big sector may come in for nifty support for new leg up.

Hi, Regarding the HW on Bank Nifty After 12-15 May price is almost side ways and as per your teachings I can identify 5 candles dated on 16,18,24,May & 1,8 June. There is a huge volume on 31 May but there is a long wick so m not sure whether to consider it or not. Would love to hear your comments on this. Thanks...

As I understand. the criteria for a distribution candle is that it has be have volume more than the previous day, it should not have a large body, should have a sizeable wick. but my doubt is that does it matter it is red or green? or does it matter if its the same colour as the previous candle.

For Nifty 500, which volume do i use? TradingView does not seem to have a volume in the Nifty 500 (While it does for Nifty 50). For S&P, do I mark on SPX or on SPY. Both have volumes.

SBI - Distribution days visible on 18 May (result day big bearish candle), 19 May, 31 May, 8 June, 9 June.. even though BN made a ATH but SBI is still struggling to cross 590 (ATH was 625).. It gave a false BO on 29 and 30 May and is now again back in the range.. If BN starts any correction below 43800, then looks like PSU banks will be the most beaten down..

In banknifty there are around 8 distribution day at near all time high. But on weekly TF last 4 week of consolidation compare to last 2 high on weekly TF where almost direct fall. This MAY restrict downside movement.

It’s extremely difficult to mark out distribution. Looks more of retrospective diagnosis Just for sake try oct 22 nifty. It doesn’t give that idea so clearly. If you can show us there, it will be of great help. Is the Elliot wave helps here ? To predict some near time distribution chances. If we look at current nifty run, it’s wave 5 of Elliot . So more chance of correction . I mean while wave 5 is printing , we have to trade cautiously here onwards. This way might feel a simplistic way to look at it. Candle pattern and Price action can simply goes with bias but adding volume is bit confusing on indices and large cap . Off course volumes do have more value in mid and small caps. Your view would help analysing better sir !!

Sir is that Same concepts follow for the stocks also or has some change. One doubt like when i searched on distribution pattern of william O'neal i got mentioned like candle closed less than -0.2 % with higher volume than previous day could be considered as distribution days it is okay? also concepts of o'neals like follow through day and distribution days how they work on stocks because if we need to check of another sectoral index apart from BN we have only stocks to track in them

I have watched your all videos of position sizing and risk management, please try to answer, I follow progressive exposure but when I'm at my full exposure market has already moved a lot then I've left very few days to gain with full exposure then suddenly drawdown phase comes, I am only able to gain with full exposure when bull cycle is too long. Please answer, your answer may solve my biggest hurdle.

It may be true that you wait for conditions to improve too much before building position. I see this as a timing problem and a problem of not repeating process in bear markets or when markets fall. Unless I see your journal, this is my best guess.

As Bank nifty has formed spike and channel pattern, and channel is 3 push to the upside.. so it might correct to 2 legs 10 bar.. even ICICI Bank, SBIN, Kotak will lead to downside.. my question is on HDFC BANK.. it has corrected in channel pattern and is on base... Can we buy it for minimum Target to the top and who knows it might break for the lifetime high???

Hi Sir, I trade predominantly on the weekly chart due to my work. I follow stan weinstein's method for positional trading. How do you protect profits when trading on the weekly time frame. Last time the market topped, I was forced out of a lot of good stocks, which eventually turned around and gave good returns. @@akshayjagadishrao9594 Hi I have the exact same issue as I follow the same method. I am fully scaled in now using Stan’s method and use only the weekly time frame to enter and exit. I believe the way to trail is to use daily pivots and 50 dma. Could you please check and let me know if am right ?

If good quality stocks don't move much in terms of Price Action (PA), will they also be labeled LAGGARDS? For instance, HDFC when compared with BANKNIFTY?

I think the candle 5 he was referring to should be the next candle. The arrow must have been wrongly placed on the strong-tail candle.
