A fun observation: I noticed in category 1 stocks; breakouts work better with them and 70% of the time there's no pullback and they have a terrific rally. And in category 3 stocks breakout doesn't work as well and instead they start pulling back in just a few days after the initial breakout.

@@naveenaki3814 Hey Naveen, category 1 stocks are those stocks which broke out/formed bullish patterns like VCP before Nifty, which is before April. Category 2 is stocks which broke out around the time Nifty did. And category 3 is stocks that broke out after Nifty.

I like to keep a checklist template for each of my stock in my portfolio. I call it the "ONs Checklist". In that, I have laid down 2 scenarios - 1. If the price goes back into base after breakout, 2. If the price goes up after breakout. Both the scenarios have checklists that I fill out everyday, just to check where I'm at. I also have a redflag checklist in scenario 2 which pretty much puts things in perspective for me if the stock doesn't do what i am expecting. After that I have a stop loss guidance in the template to have a well defined way of marking my SLs. If gain 2x initial risk then my avg buying price is my SL. If gain > 3x initial risk then my historical avg gain is my SL. If anyone wants they can easily make this for themselves on a word file and print out a bunch of those for every stock. I personally do it on my Ipad on Goodnotes app.

Hi Raunak, I came across your channel in covid 2020 and was channel member for more than a year, where I watched all the videos of your channel. 6 months back stopped the membership due to work commitment. If one can accept that we are the slaves of the market and its not the other way round, then it would solve most of our god complex issues. I have incorporated basic teachings of yours in my swing trading journals.1 Never stop practicing in the market. Its important to keep doing the homework and keep learning. 2 I buy probe quantities of stocks when I see its breaking out of flag, vcp, stage 2 etc. Then I wait for pull back or further confirmation and then only I add additional positions. 3 I accept that I was wrong and exit those stocks which are giving me loss, I re enter if the price crosses my stop loss candle with further confirmation. I have accepted that I can't be right all the time nor my profit and loss percentage would be same as compared to previous months or years. 4 I am more interested in SIP in top market leaders and etfs during major down fall. I would like to free up my etfs cash when the markets are at ath and would use this money for other swing trading opportunity in strong stocks with clear trending structures. 5 I try to keep things as simple and possible. If I am trying out any trades in 1day time frame then the methods for pull back, stop lose, RR will be based on 1day time frame only. 6 When your wife gets mad by seeing you sitting late night with your red and green charts, time to shut your laptop and go to sleep 😂. This depends on the cycle playing out. Sometimes I scale in after 5%, sometimes 10. Or sometimes, complete scale in at once.

When you think something can move and it does not move as you expect, do you build full positions ? or multiple positions ? Answer is no. You cut weed when things move as per your expectation and then you see some of your stocks are lagging. This is when you cut those and allocate to stronger one's.
