They literally never listen to anything you have to say. You feel uncomfortable looking good around them or delivering good news. You catch them scowling at you behind your back. None of the friends they introduce you to ever like you. When they ask about you, it never seems genuine or feels like they are just checking to make sure you aren't "outshining them". They never remember anything you say but always seem to remember the bad things that have happened to you or embarrassing things you have shared with them. They try to bring you down with them. They have to be inebriated or high around you because they really can't stand you but can't stand themselves enough to be alone. They make backhanded compliments or passive aggressive statements. They feel entitled to anything good you have and get angry if you don't "share it" with them. They commit violence against you in your sleep. They do or attempt witchcraft on you. You just feel that something is off.

What if not just friends but they're family and parents
