If you only have 3 days in Kyoto, here's a guide for you! Travel to Kyoto is a different kind of dreamy in spring and we could not help but be starry eyed through it all. This is our guide on how to do 72 hours in Kyoto city.
- ABOUT US -
Hi! We are Pooja & Shravan, an illustrator-engineer duo from Bangalore brought together by the love of travel and adventure.
We have traveled together since the winter of 2016. On one such trip, we started documenting these travels on a humble phone camera. We soon realised that we really enjoy capturing these experiences. We are entirely self taught (students of the internet) and have learnt from binging on brilliant creators over the years.
In our videos you might find glimpses of places that are not spoken about enough. We always vouch for spots that are somewhat the underdogs. Our vlogs are sometimes vlog-ish and sometimes a documentation of the place as we see it. We hope that watching these videos will bring a little dose of joy to your day.
We love reading your comments and hearing your thoughts.
They motivate us and help us steer our creative path.
With love,
Pooja & Shravan

OMG!! Thank you so much Allan for this. You made our day 😃😃😃. We have watched and rewatched many of your videos for their simple and beautiful story telling and learnt a great deal about photography and compositions from your work. So this comment means a lot to us. ☺☺☺
Brilliant frames, transitions and scripts! I loved the frames while the narration was going on. It added so much to the experience of Kyoto through a lens

Thank you so much Veer. We're glad that you liked our content 😀😀
Quick question: How do you both manage to enjoy a the beauty of these places( and the food obv) and at the same time ensure you’re capturing the right frames and moments ? I’m so impressed!

Thank you so much Noel! 😄😄That’s a long story in itself. Tbt travel is not travel when we are wearing our filmmaker hats. It’s very different from going on vacation even though it may look like it on film. But that IS the job and we derive a lot of creative satisfaction when we are able to successfully capture a good frame or a moment.🤩 And we derive joy from that as well! You can DM us on Insta if you have more questions about it.
Stunning videography and impressive script writing… Probably my favorite of all Japan videos on KZread. Well done! Happened upon you while planning my second trip back. Subscribing now!
It was a go to video for my entire Kyoto stay. Being vegetarian myself I was a bit doubtful on veg options. You guys were really awesome and loved the way you captured everything.
The Kyoto video is the most soulful one so far. The shrines, sakura and foxes... I am indeed left speechless. Some Wes Andersonesque shots were spotted!! So lovely to see you guys explore Kyoto. I can understand your struggle being a veggie, because I feel the same wherever I go. But most Traditional food can be vegan/vegetarian on its own, but its so difficult to find!! Waiting for the next video ;)

That sleep part had quite a bit of regret !! 🤣🤣 But i feel the tourist bit , but , such thirst quenching integration of videos with the music , with the story seemlessly flowing like a Japanese river!! 😁😁

Keep up the incredible work. Very much looking forward to seeing where you go next. Related, should we go to that curry noodle place and wait in line?

Love the channel. High quality production. The videos seem to be shot with excellent camera gear. Explanation is amazing. I already had an interest in going to Japan. This channel has further piqued my interest. Every attraction is explained in an eloquent manner. I also like that the explanation is done in such a calm manner without resorting to influencer shtick like cacophonous music in the background and shouting. Also being vegetarian, so happy that you give us Info of where to go acc. Keep up the good work guys

Well that really depends on you, when you want to travel, for how long and the level of comfort you're shooting for. It can go anywhere between 2 Lakhs to 8 Lakhs (for 2 weeks) for a couple. We're planning on coming up with a detailed video soon going into the logistics of our travel and how much it cost. So keep your eyes peeled for that one!😄😄
