    When I watched this... it's Completely Surreal how Everything changes in one night! Konstantin, keep us informed of the situation in Russia because maybe you already know that Big things will come ( I no want to put you at any risk or make you feel uncomfortable and I know Russians do not want to speak publicly for these things... ) but the current ... cannot give the power so easily and the situation will change with a Lot of disturbances, starvation and maybe even blood... Nobody knows how much time will take, but let's say maybe next winter, the nation will touch the point of surviving and this unlocks any self mechanisms that activate some processes inside Russia. You CANNOT Imagine what happens with these refugees - over 3 300 000 Mothers with Children, my country already get over 80 000 and they need food, clothes, shelter, medicine, education, its a nightmare. It is Humanitarian Apocalypse from a Biblical Scale, and Russia Definitely will pay the price for it, because you no go outside on the streets, in the first days for mass protests let's say 20-30 million people for Peace! Stay safe you and your family - a privilege that Ukrainian families no have anymore... Regards from Bulgaria.

Thank you for sharing the most magical Russian Christmas - as Christmas should be without the commercial trappings. My own Christmas is very quiet - on the lead up to Christmas the local scout group with drive around the streets with Father Christmas on his sleigh and they collect money for their projects. I spend Christmas Day with my mom and we have a roast dinner and at 3pm we sit down to watch our Queen speak to the Nation and The Commonwealth.

    There is something that I.forgot to say. In my local village there is a church (fairly modern and very plain inside) and on the Saturday closest to.Christmas Eve they have a walking Nativity. Children dress up as Kings, Shepherds, Sheep and there will be a Mary & Joseph.and a real donkey. The children gather in their various groups in the village and as one group walks past another, they all join in and walk to the church behind Mary & Joseph.and the donkey where there is a church service. Its lovely.

  • @maria.5974

    @maria.5974

    2 жыл бұрын

    good question! Yes, in our churches there is no seating and we stand all the time. I always wondered why it is so. I think it's because Russian Orthodox church thinks that people should not get too comfortable during service and stand up before God. Many traditions and customs of Russian Orthodoxy were taken from Greek Orthodox church, but in Greece I saw people sitting comfortably on benches during service.

    @Angie; @@INSIDERUSSIA May I add my view: yes, rituals are the same, but here's what is different: attitude of priests to public, to people. (I compared when I was in Greece). Russian Orthodox priests are like a 'special caste', huge distance between them and simple people. They can be seen in luxury cars. Whereas Greek priests have no such distance, I saw them using public transport, they are easily approachable and people in the street come to them for a blessing. When a Greek priest passed me on the street and wished me 'Happy easter' I was shocked!

    Thanks for sharing this heartwarming video of your family and your traditional Christmas activities. It's so nice to see the real Russian Orthodox church service. I find it ironic that as Russia seems to be having a reawakening of appreciation for its traditional culture and religion, the U.S is losing appreciation for its traditional culture and religion. Maybe Khrushchev was right when he said during a visit to the U S. In 1959, " your grandchildren will be Communists". 🤔
