Very nice video, thank you. Looks like you have a truly lovely and loving family. Also, I think that meal would have cost about twice as much here in Luxembourg. Your town, Vladimir (i had to look it up on a map), doesn't lie on the main train line to Siberia -- so I didn't pass through there on my way by train from Moscow to Nakhodka east of Vladivostok back in October 1979 (Vladivostok was then closed to foreigners). That was the only time I was in Russia, and I wish I could see it again, and see more of it -- if I ever get a chance. -- In the meantime I can see Russia in videos like yours.

This is the first time I have seen your channel. What city are you in? I did not recognize the streets. I am an American in St Petersburg city center and did not do anything for Christmas this year except console a long-time friend who just lost her mother after a 3-month illness.. New Years of course it is the big holiday with all the common features of Christmas except the religion since the Orthodox version of Christmas is later and is religious entirely without gifts or Grand Father Frost and Snow Maiden (Snegurka). I usually visit my friends with small children to bring gifts for New Year than party all night at clubs or in Palace square there is always a large spectacular party for 300,000 close friends or on the main street that is blocked for traffic and a street party with a dozen bands, one at each blocked off intersections with different style of music. New Year's Eve is a very big deal here. There will be at least a million partying outdoors in the Palace Square and the connecting Nevsky Prospect main street.It is a really beautiful city with palaces and grand 18th-century buildings and cathedrals,600 parks, 44 islands, and many canals plus the wide Neva River that is just now freezing but not thick enough to safely walk, or drive on yet. The canals are frozen but not thick ice yet since the weather has been rather mild. There are always gala operas, ballets, and symphonies featured in the grand concert halls. but I usually go to the closed parties every club has. The party on Nevsky Prospect ends at about 10 am the next morning and an intense clean-up before opening for vehicle traffic again at noon. Although the parties are large and there are never fights or problems, just good times. Bay home in California there could not be such public events for free without problems, fights, stabbings or guns. Russia is so much safer and more pleasant to socialize in. The lack of snow is sort of a damper on the outdoor parties this year.

This is LIPETSK but St. Peter’s burg sounds amazing. Yea I stayed in an earlier video that I feel safer walking around the the streets of Russia at night than New York Atlantic City or Philadelphia.
