HOW TO SPEND 24 HOURS In Bajos del Toro, Costa Rica | From San Jose

This video shows how we spent our 24 hours in Bajos del Toro after leaving San Jose, Costa Rica. It's about 1.5 hours Northeast and does not see too many visitors compare to many other parts of the country.
00:35 Flying to San Jose & getting to Bajos del Toro
00:58 Where we stayed & price
01:25 Walk through the town
01:55 Heading further out to swim in the blue river
03:04 Walking to Tesoro Escondido Park & Waterfalls
03:47 Price details
04:42 The big waterfall
05:13 Hike up to the arch
05:30 Our driver taking us down to the next town to catch a bus
05:48 Heading to La Fortuna
There's plenty more to see here and in hindsight we should've spent a few nights here instead of just one. Here's the airbnb link: www.airbnb.com/rooms/52446294...
We booked a 28-day Airbnb in La Fortuna and that's what pushed us to continue the journey.

We actually walked and had no car. A car would’ve been nice and I remember the roads being fine

Hello, I am planning a trip to Costa Rica but I am having trouble with calculating the cost of taxis. I plan on taking the Same taxi route you took but google says it will cost 50-60. how have your experiences with taxis been in terms of cost?

Try using Rome2Rio to get some cost estimates. I think we also managed to use Uber is some places. I don’t believe we ever used a traditional taxi there except for a very short ride that was cheap
